Melt in Your Mouth Almond Crescent Cookies
These cookies are the easiest to make, they literally melt in your mouth, nutty and not too sweet. follow all my tips and you'll get the most amazing cookie for your Christmas cookie box.
INGREDIENTS:
150 g all purpose flour 1cup and 3 tbsp
50 g toasted pecans 1/2 cup
45 g almond flour 1/3 cup
113 g unsalted butter room temperature
35 g powdered sugar 1/4 cup
1/2 tsp almond extract
extra powdered sugar for dusting
PREPARATION:
Start by mixing toasting the pecans for 1 minute or 2 watch carefully, they will toast fast. I used my small counter top oven to do so.
let the cool completely and then process finely in the food processor. set aside.
The rest is so easy. Just mix the butter and powdered sugar by hand until completely incorporated, add the almond extract then the almond flour and processed pecans.mix well then add the flour. Shape into crescents 20 g each. Makes 20-22 cookies. Bake at 350 f for exactly 15 minutes.
Dust generously with powdered sugar as they come out of the oven.

What's For Breakfast? Apple Butter Pecan Crescents: Noreen's Kitchen
Greetings! This morning I had to get Molly to school at 5:30 am! She is going on a 3 day field trip to the Mountains of North Carolina. Along the way they are going to take a tour of Barton College and go to the North Carolina Zoo among other things. They are also going to hike to the top of Grandfather Mountain where they will be forced to abandon all electronics and sit in silence and reflect on their experience and write about it in their journal. I think it sounds like great, memory making fun! I am also sad because I don't do well when my children are away from home. She is going far away where I will not be able to keep her safe. So I needed to occupy myself this morning and not think about it.
I needed to cook something. Taking note of what I had available to me in the house, I decided on these apple butter pecan crescents.
Using a tube of crescent rolls that I separated, I spread about a half tablespoon of apple butter on each one and sprinkled with chopped pecans. I rolled them all up and baked them in a 375 oven for about 12 minutes or just until they turned light golden brown. I removed them from the oven and allowed them to cool for about 10 minutes. Then I put them on a rack so I could glaze them.
I used my basic icing glaze using some powdered sugar, heavy cream about a tablespoon of soft butter, teaspoon of vanilla and about 1/2 teaspoon of apple pie spice, which gave it a nutty brown color.
After the crescents had a bit of time to cool I glazed them while they were just still a bit warm. The glaze melted over them nicely and I sprinkled a bit more chopped pecans over the tops.
These are stellar! Delicious and satisfying. Just a little sweet and buttery. The nuts add the perfect extra special flavor. These were quick to go together and were simple to make. They would be a great addition to a buffet or even to take to a pot luck or luncheon. Pack these in a basket lined with a pretty napkin and these make a great gift for the neighbors!

Crescent Roll Pecan Sticky Buns | Simple & Delicious Dessert Recipe!
Crescent Roll Pecan Sticky Buns
8 count tube crescent rolls
6 Tbs brown sugar
5 Tbs of unsalted butter, melted
2/3 cup chopped pecans (more or less according to taste)
1 tablespoon of corn syrup
Cinnamon to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease a standard 6 count muffin tin with butter and set aside.
Mix together brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup and distribute mixture evenly into muffin tins.
Next evenly sprinkle pecans on top of brown sugar mixture.
Open your crescent rolls and sprinkle them with cinnamon to taste. Roll each one into the traditional crescent roll shape.
Cut 6 crescent rolls in half and 2 of them in thirds
Place 2 half crescents into each muffin tin. Tuck the remaining pieces in the center of the two halves.
Bake in oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly, remove from oven and let sit 5 minutes before turning out onto plate to serve.
