3 Ingredient Black Bean Burgers ????

Substituting animal protein, with plant proteins consistently shows a lower risk of all cause of death, cardiovascular disease, and even dementia. (Yangbo, 2021)

If using canned beans:
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
3 tbsp ground flax
~ 1 tsp seasoning mix of choice
I used:
~ 2 cups pressure cooked black beans from bulk dry beans
- 1/4 cup ground flax
- 1.5-2 tsp taco seasoning mix ????
Heat on a lightly oiled skillet on medium heat for about 1-2 minutes each side or until perfectly golden ????
Dress like a burger or keep in the fridge to enjoy later for about a week ♥️
GRANDMAS SECRET BEAN PATTY
This recipe is featuring my great grandmothers 100 year old recipe from Deep South Texas. This is the best thing to do with some leftover pinto beans year round. Do throw them out, turn them into bean Patties!
Ingredients:
3 c cooked pinto beans
1 onions diced
1 jalapeño diced
1 clove garlic minced
1 egg
2 c flour

When I've had frijoles or beans in mexico city There's just a little something that I couldn't quite pin point, but thanks to the cooking class I took, my instructor Alberto let us in on the signature ingredient. Epazote. Today, we are going to make these black beans with epazote at home.

Refried Beans Recipe | Healthy side dish | Topping for nachos | Burrito, Burger or taco filling
These refried beans are a snap to prepare in the Instant Pot or electric pressure cooker. There's no soaking required, and you'll have refried beans in a fraction of the time they would take on the stove top or in the slow cooker.
You can infuse some extra flavour into the beans by replacing one-third to one-half of the water with vegetable stock or chicken stock. Or add chopped jalapeño peppers to the beans along with the onion and garlic. Use olive oil for vegetarian refried beans or use lard or bacon drippings for a more classic flavour.
Note that the cook time can vary depending on the age of your beans, your altitude, and other factors. If the beans are not tender after cooking for 20 minutes, cook again for another 10 minutes.
How to use ;
Serve refried beans as a side dish with a garnish of shredded cheese, chopped red or green onions, sliced jalapeños, chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
Thicken soups, stews, or chilli with refried beans.
Use them as a topping for nachos.
Add refried beans to burger or meatloaf mixtures—burrito burgers are assembled with refried beans.
Add the refried beans to burrito or taco fillings.
