Sourdough Lemon Drop Cookies
COOKIE DOUGH
1 cup (225g) of browned butter
2.5 cups (500g) of sugar
2 egg yolks (about 34 grams each)
2 tablespoons (30g) of lemon juice, juice from one medium lemon
1 tablespoon (6g) of lemon zest, zest from one medium lemon
3/4 cup (180g) of sourdough starter
1 teaspoon (5g) of vanilla
2.5 cups (310g) of flour
1/2 teaspoon (3g) of salt
1 teaspoon (5g) of baking soda
1 cup (175g) of white chocolate chips, rough chopped
Powdered sugar for dusting
Bake for 10 minutes at 350F

This is an easy recipe to make. The video is about making homemade soft Sourdough Cookies. I had my reservations about making cookies with my sourdough starter and I could not be more pleased with how these cookies turned out. I plan on adding them to my Christmas cookie baking for years to come. A great comfort recipe.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 Cup Butter
1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Tbsp. Water
1 Cup Fresh Sourdough Starter
3 Cups Flour
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Cream together butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gently mix in the water and sourdough starter. In a separate bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
Drop the dough onto a cookie sheet. Sprinkle the cookies with cinnamon and sugar if desired.
Bake 12 minutes.

Sourdough Energy Cookies
Ingredients:
1 c. sourdough starter
1/2 c. melted butter, cooled
1/2 c. coconut oil, melted and cooled
2 c. whole wheat flour
2 c. old fashioned oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. honey
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 scant teaspoon salt
1/4 t. cloves
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. ginger
1 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 c. dried cranberries
1c. chopped walnuts
Using a KitchenAid mixer, combine starter and fats. Add flour and oats and mix. This will be a thick, dry dough. Place in a covered bowl and allow to ferment for at least 6 hours. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cover your baking sheets with parchment. Put dough back in mixer and add eggs, honey, sugar, vanilla, salt, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and baking powder. Mix. Add baking soda and mix again. Then add dried cranberries and walnuts mixing one final time. Drop by the spoonful on parchment lined baking sheets and bake 8-12 minutes depending on size of cookie, until they begin to turn golden on the edges. Alternately, you can spread entire mixture on cookie sheet and bake for about 20 minutes then cut into bars. Enjoy!

???????????? INGREDIENTS:
1 cup (120g) organic all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
8 tbsp unsalted butter, cold
1 cup (227g) sourdough starter (discard or active doesn’t matter)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1️⃣Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Work the butter into the flour until the mixture is crumbly.
2️⃣Add the starter, mixing gently until the dough is cohesive (it’s easier to use my hands). Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface (a piece of parchment works well). Gently pat it into a 6 round about 3/4-thick.
3️⃣Use a biscuit cutter or lid to cut four rounds, Gently push and pat the scraps into a 2 1/2 x 5 rectangle. Cut two more biscuits. Push and pat the remaining scraps into one more biscuit (7 total).
4️⃣ Place the sourdough biscuits onto the baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
