Prepare Chicken Chilli Dry:
-Boneless chicken julienne 500g
-Anda (Egg) whisked 1
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
-Cornflour 2 tbs
-Maida (All-purpose flour) 1 tbs
-Cooking oil for frying
-Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 1 tbs
-Adrak (Ginger) chopped 1 tbs
-Hari mirch (Green chillies) 10-12
-Adrak (Ginger) julienne 2-inch piece
-Soy sauce 2 tbs
-Chilli garlic sauce 2 tbs
-Oyster sauce 2 tbs
-Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ¼ tsp
-Sugar 1 tsp
-Yakhni (Chicken stock) ¼ Cup
-Hari mirch (Green chillies) 2-3
-Adrak (Ginger) julienne 1-inch piece
-Hara pyaz (Spring onion) leaves chopped
Prepare Fried Rice:
-Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
-Anda (Egg) whisked 1
-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped 1 tbs
-Gajar (Carrots) chopped 3 tbs
-Band gobhi (Cabbage) chopped ½ Cup
-Chawal (Rice) boiled 250g
-Chicken powder 1 tbs
-Sugar 1 tsp
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp or to taste
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Hara pyaz (Spring onion) leaves chopped 1-2 tbs
-Soy sauce 1 tbs
-Hara pyaz (Spring onion) leaves chopped
Directions:
Prepare Chicken Chilli Dry:
-In a bowl,add chicken,egg,salt,black pepper powder,cornflour,all-purpose flour & mix well,cover & marinate for 15 minutes.
-In a wok,heat cooking oil & fry on medium flame until golden & crispy.
-In a wok,add cooking oil,garlic,ginger & mix well.
-Add green chillies & mix well.
-Now add fried chicken,ginger & mix well.
-Add soy sauce,chilli garlic sauce,oyster sauce,salt,black pepper powder,sugar & mix well.
-Add chicken stock,mix well & cook on high flame for a minute.
-Add green chillies,ginger,spring onion leaves & mix well.
Prepare Fried Rice:
-In a wok,add cooking oil,whisked eggs,mix well & cook for a minute.
-Move cooked egg to the side of wok,add garlic & mix well.
-Add carrots,cabbage,mix well & cook for a minute then mix everything.
-Add boiled rice & give it a good mix.
-Add chicken powder,sugar,black pepper powder,salt,spring onion leaves,soy sauce & mix well.
-Garnish with spring onion leaves & serve with chicken chilli dry!

-Karahi mein cooking oil aur pheetay hoye anday dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ek minute kliya paka lein.
-Cooked anday ko karahi ki ek side per rakh dein aur lehsan dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Gajar & band gobhi dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ek minute kliya paka lein phir sab cheezon ko ek saath mix ker lein.
-Boiled chawal dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Chicken powder,cheeni,kali mirch powder,namak,hara pyaz leaves aur soy sauce dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Hara pyaz leaves sa garish ker lein & chicken chilli dry ka saath serve karein!

Chinese Style Lemon Chicken - Old School
So easy and delicious. Chinese lemon chicken like you could get from a take away menu at any decent Chinese Restaurant in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. It tasted good back then.....and still does now, I promise.
Chinese lemon chicken recipe
This is my Chinese Lemon Chicken recipe (柠檬鸡). It is a Cantonese classic and its refreshing, lemony taste makes it a popular restaurant and takeaway dish. But it is super easy to make at home.
INGREDIENTS
01. 2 chicken breasts
02. light soy sauce (2 tbsp)
03. Shaoxing rice wine (2 tbsp)
04. 1 spring onion
05. gingeShaoxingr (1 tsp)
06. 1 garlic clove
07. 1 egg
08. corn flour (100g)
09. cooking oil (2 cups)
LEMON SAUCE
10. ½ lemon juice
11. sugar/honey (2tsp)
12. salt (½- 1 tsp)
13. chicken stock/water (3-4 tbsp)
14. corn flour (1tsp)
15. a drizzle of sesame oil
(Serves 4 to 6)
The chicken is marinated, battered, double-fried, and then glazed with a tangy lemony sauce. Serve it with boiled rice and steamed vegetables and it's an easy complete meal that the whole family will enjoy.
Just a note of caution: the takeout variety of this dish tends to have an exaggerated yellowish colour and gluey sauce. This is because colouring and even custard powder is often used (as well as msg and artificial chicken flavouring). The best thing about making Lemon chicken at home is that you can avoid such ingredients.

Today we are making a well-known American Chinese food - orange chicken. It is not traditional, but the technique of making fried chicken and coat it with a sweet and sour sauce is commonly used in many many Chinese recipes such as sweet and sour pork, fish, shrimp, and tofu. In this video, I am going to show you how to achieve that crispy outside, tender inside consistency, and a perfectly balanced sweet and sour sauce so you can make sweet and sour anything.

INGREDIENTS
- 300 grams of chicken breast, slice it into 1/4 of an inch pieces
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp of orange juice
- 100 grams of cornstarch
- 2 medium size eggs
- Enough frying oil
- 2 tsp of cooking oil
- 1 tsp of ginger
- 1 tbsp of garlic
- Few shakes of red pepper flake [Amazon Link:

- 3.5 tbsp of light soy sauce [Amazon Link:
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar [Amazon Link:
- 1 tbsp of honey for the taste [Amazon Link:
- 1.5 tsp of orange zest
- 3 tbsp of vinegar
- Cornstarch water(1.5 tbsp of water + 1 tbsp and 1 tsp of cornstarch)
- Some diced scallion and red pepper flake for garnish
INSTRUCTION
- Cut the chicken breast in half. Angle your knife to 45 degrees and slice the chicken into 1/4 of an inch thick pieces. Marinade it with 1/2 tsp of salt, a little bit black pepper to taste, and 2 tbsp of freshly squeezed orange juice. The acid in the fruit can tenderize the meat and this amount of liquid will keep the chicken moist. Just mix everything until the chicken absorbed all the liquid. Cover it and Let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Next, let’s make a batter. Crack 2 eggs, beat them well. Mix it with 100 grams of cornstarch. Use a fork stir it continually. The cornstarch might clump up at the beginning. Just keep mixing it and you will get a really smooth, shiny looking batter.
- Coat the chicken with the batter.
- Heat the oil to 360 degrees F. If you don’t have a thermometer, you can test it by dropping a little bit batter. If you see it bubbles a lot and floats to the top, that means you are good to go. Fry the chicken for 3-5 minutes or until the surface is getting hard. Doesn’t need to be golden brown. Take out the chicken and let it rest for 10 minutes and we gonna double fry it.
- This time, heat the oil to 390 degrees F. You can add all the chicken in once because they will not stick to each other anymore. Double frying is the key to make sure all your chicken pieces come out crispy. Keep stirring until you get a light golden color.
- Set it aside and we will make the sauce. Heat up your wok. Add a little bit oil, some minced ginger, garlic, and few shakes of chili powder. Stir until fragrant then pour in 1/4 cup of orange juice, 3.5 tbsp of light soy sauce, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and 1.5 tsp of orange zest. Stir to melt the sugar. I like to add 1 tbsp of honey, just for the honey flavor, it is optional and also depends on your taste. Then pour in 3 tbsp of white vinegar. The reason we add it now is that we can drop down the temperature of the liquid and you can add in the cornstarch water. If you add it while the liquid is boiling hot, it will clump up easily. Keep cooking it on medium-low heat. Make sure you taste the sauce to find a perfect balance between the sweetness, sourness, and saltiness. I made this many times and I know this is perfect for me. In about 2 minutes you should reach a consistency that is a bit thicker than syrup texture. If the sauce is too thin, the chicken will lose the crunchiness when you mix everything.
- Turn off the heat and dump all the chicken in. Quickly stir and make sure all the pieces are coated well. Take them out. Top some green onion, few shakes of red chili powder and you can serve.
Citrus Ginger Chicken | an Orange, lemon, lime, ginger, chili sauce
I have to say I ABSOLUTELY love this dish. The sauce is AMAZING ( if I do say so myself) packed full of flavors, you have the sweetness from the orange juice, the tart from the lemon and lime juice and a little spicy from the chili and fresh ginger. It’s a must try. You won’t regret it….. trust me. It’ll be one of your favorites too.
