How To make Spicy Turkey Roast
1 Frozen whole boneless turkey
(4 pounds,thawed as pkg Directs 8 lg Cloves garlic
3 tb Rosemary
1 ts Paprika
1 tb Coarsely ground black pepper
1 ts Coarse Kosher style salt
2 tb Olive oil
Rosemary sprigs, for garnish Red pepper, for garnish 1) Remove mesh from the turkey. Lay turkey out as flat as possible
on a cutting board, placing the skin side down. 2) Combine the garlic, rosemary, pepper and salt in the work bowl of the food processor withthe steel blade in place, or in the blender. Turn motor on. Add the oil, processing until coarsely chopped. 3) Spread half the garlic mixture over the inside of the turkey. Reroll the turkey. 4) Tie firmly with string every two inches to return the turkey to its original log shape. Spread evenly with the remaining garlic mixture. 5) Place on rack in roasting pan. 6) Roast at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours until a meat thermometer inserted in the center registers 170 degrees. A long log shape takes less time than a more compact roast. 7) Remove from oven. Let stand 20 minutes before removing strings. 8) Cut thin slices to serve. Garnish with rosemary and red pepper. Scrape up cooking juices from bottom of pan. Spoon over meat, or thicken with flour and add chicken broth for a gravy, if desired.

Roast Turkey With Chinese 5 Spice Gravy (Asian Style Roast Turkey)
Chinese Roast Turkey With Five Spice Gravy. Delicious and aromatic with five spice powder, ginger, garlic and black pepper. The juices are used to make a delicious gravy. This is turkey with delicious Asian flavors. You'll be amazed how delicious this turkey is, when cooked this way.

Recipe is below:
CHINESE ROAST TURKEY
15 lb. turkey
1 to 3 tablespoons five spice powder
2 tablespoons chopped ginger
3 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 tablespoons salt
3 or more stalks green onions
Put the five spice powder, ginger, garlic, black pepper and salt into a bowl. Mix ingredients well.
Clean turkey and pat dry. Also clean the giblets and other innards. Cut wings of turkey and put in roasting pan. Place turkey in pan.
Put some of the ingredients under skin of turkey. Also put some of the ingredients over the outside of turkey. Roll each giblet, heart, liver, neck in remaining ingredients in the bowl and put in the cavity of turkey. Also add stalks of green onion in cavity as well.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Put turkey in oven and roast for 1/2 hour. Turn down heat to 320 degrees. Add 5 cups of water. Continue to cook at 320 degrees for 2 hours. Baste liquids at least 3 times. Cooking time is about 10 minutes per pound of turkey using this cooking method.
For a quicker cooking method, preheat oven to 420 degrees. Cook turkey for 1 hour at 420 degrees. Turn heat down to 375 degrees, and add 5 cups of water to the pan. Cook turkey for 45 minutes at 375 degrees. Baste turkey 2 times. This is for a 15 lb. turkey.
Five Spice Gravy Recipe
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
8 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups water
Remove turkey from pan when cooking is completed. Pour liquids through a strainer into a cooking pan. To make more gravy, add 3 cups more water. Bring to a boil.
To thicken gravy, put 8 tablespoons cornstarch into a bowl. Add 1 1/2 cup water and mix well. With a wisk, blend cornstarch mixture slowly to thicken gravy. Add more cornstarch mixture is gravy is too thin.
