These are very delicate but tasty cookies when baked. They also have few ingredients and can be decorated with candied cherries, nuts, coloured sprinkles or sugars. The cookie dough is soft enough for piping to the baking tray using a star nozzle but you can also use a cookie mould to shape the cookies before baking.
Ingredients
1 cup (227 grams) margarine
1/2 cup (100 grams) sugar
2 large egg yolks (32 grams)

Spritz Cookies (Classic Version) - Joyofbaking.com
Recipe here: Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Spritz Cookies. Spritz Cookies, also known as Swedish Butter Cookies or Pressed Butter Cookies, are a very popular Christmas cookie, not only in Scandinavia, but also here in North America. They have a lovely sweet and buttery vanilla flavor with a texture that is tender crisp. As their name implies, Spritz is German for spritzen meaning to squirt, which is exactly what is done with this cookie dough. By that I mean we make these cookies using a cookie press (gun).

Decadent Swedish Butter And Pecan Cookies
1 cup (250 ml) of butter
1 cup (250 ml) confectioner's sugar
2 cups (500 ml) flour
1 egg
1 tablespoon (15 ml) of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon (5 ml) almond extract
2 tablespoons (30 ml) water
1 and 1/2 cups (375 ml) of chopped pecans
extra confectioner's sugar to dust the top of the cookies
Such an easy recipe! Just cream the butter with the confectioner's sugar and add the remaining ingredients ending with the nuts. Mix well so the nuts are well combined. You are done preparing in 10 minutes and there is approximately 15 minutes of baking time. The only thing to look out for is that the bottom is golden as in the video. You are done!
These are such tasty treats! I think it will not be the last time you bake these, since they are so easy to make.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do and as always, have fun!
