How To make Vanilla Nutmeg Pound Cake
4 c Cake flour
2 ts Baking soda
1 t Salt
1 t Ground nutmeg
1 c Unsalted butter -- softened
2 c Granulated sugar
2 Eggs
1 tb Vanilla extract
2 c Buttermilk or sour cream
Confectioner's sugar -for dusting

1. Butter and flour a 12-cup tube pan. Preheat oven to
350 degrees F. Sift flour, baking soda, salt, and
nutmeg together. 2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add
eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg is added. Stir in vanilla. 3. Stir half of the sifted flour mixture into the
butter-sugar mixture. Add 1 cup of the buttermilk. Add the other half of the flour mixture, then the remaining buttermilk. 4. Pour batter into prepared tube pan and bake until a
wooden skewer inserted 2 inches from edge comes out clean (about 1 hour and 5 minutes). Cool cake in pan 10 to 15 minutes; invert onto a cooling rack, remove
pan, and cool completely before serving. Transfer to a serving plate. Dust with confectioners' sugar.

INGREDIENTS
500g of self raising flour (When using plain flour add 1 1/2tbsp of baking powder)
500g of butter
300g of castor sugar ( you can also use white sugar)
1/2 cup of evaporated milk
6 large eggs
2tsp of vanilla essence
1/4tsp of food coloring (Pink)
1/2tsp of nutmeg
* NOTES * Bake at 180 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes but please check your oven settings and adjust the temperature. Your can check if your cake is baked to perfection by using a tooth pick or kebab stick to poke through. If it comes out dry and clean then your cake is baked.
For the milk you can also use the normal full cream milk.

Vanilla Spice Pound Cake
A nice semi- sweet treat with a hint of cinnamon & nutmeg spice topped with whipped cream and strawberries ???? this pound cake is easy to make from scratch .
Bake at 350degrees oven temperature for 52 min to 1hour depending on your oven. Mine baked in 52 minutes
You can mix the batter by hand as well.
Ingredients
1 & 3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
*1/4 teaspoon cinnamon optional
*Pinch of nutmeg. Optional
3/4 cup unsalted butter
170 ml Milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 & 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
For a more moist cake add 1/4 oil
