How To make Almond Fried Shrimp
1 c All purpose flour
1 pn Salt
2 c Milk
4 ea Eggs
12 ea Uncooked jumbo shrimp
1 1/2 c Sliced almonds (5 oz)
6 c Vegetable oil
Peel, devein and butterfly shrimp, leaving tails intact. Line large baking sheet with waxed paper. Place flour in medium bowl; add salt. Whisk milk and eggs in large bowl. Dredge shrimp (not tails) in seasoned flour; shake off excess. Dip shrimp (not tails) in milk mixture. Press almonds over shrimp, coating all but tails. Place shrimp on prepared sheet. Curl tails up over shrimp. Freeze until firm, about 1 1/2 hours. (Can be prepared up to 1 day ahead. Cover with foil.) Heat oil in heavy large saucepan to 350~. Loosen shrimp from paper. Add frozen shrimp to oil in batches and cook until deep golden brown, about 3 minutes. Transfer to paper towels using slotted spoon. Let drain. Divide shrimp among plates. Serve with cocktail sauce, tartar sauce and lemon wedges.

Ingredients for Golden Fried Prawns:
(Tsp- Teaspoon; Tbsp- Tablespoon )
- Prawn or Shrimp - 450-500 gms (shelled and deveined)
Marinate Prawns with :
- Salt- 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
Ingredients for coating the prawns:
- All purpose flour (Maida)- 1 US cup measure seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper powder.
- Whisked eggs-2
- Panko Bread Crumbs- 1.5 US cup measure
-Salt- 1/4 tsp
- Pepper Powder- 1/4 tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation:
- Clean and devein the shrimps/prawns and make diagonal cuts on the inner side at 3 places to prevent the prawns from curling up.
- Marinate the prawns with salt and pepper powder and set aside for 30 mins in room temperature.
- Take 3 glass containers.
- Add the all purpose flour, whisked eggs and the Panko bread crumbs in each
Process:
- Firstly add the marinated prawns/shrimp in the bowl of all purpose flour and dredge these completely to coat them with the all purpose flour.
- Take the shrimp one at a time and add them in the whisked egg.
- With your left hand coat the shrimp with the whisked eggs and drop them in the bowl containing Panko bread crumbs.
- Now with your right hand coat the shrimp with the Panko breadcrumbs pressing it well to make it stick.
- Arrange in a plate. Repeat till all are done.
- You can arrange in 2 plates and keep these in the freezer for minimum 1 hour.
- You can also freeze this longer and fry later.
- Heat oil till medium hot and add the coated prawns. Do not crowd the pan.
- Do not stir for 1 minute and then stir and fry till golden in colour.
- Fry for a total time of 4- 5 mins on medium heat.
- Fry till they are crisp and golden brown
- Fry the rest in the next batch.
- You may also not fry all the shrimps and keep them frozen and fry later as required.

This golden crispy fried shrimp balls feature a crunchy exterior and a steaming hot, chewy interior. This incredibly delicious appetizer is perfect for serving your guests at home and it always surprises my guests. This is a dish that really benefit from being made from your home kitchen. You can choose the dipping sauce to accompany them. Serve the shrimp balls with sweet and source sauce, cocktail sauce, homemade tarter sauce or creamy tiger sauce. Directions:
Step 1: Prepare mashed potatoes
Ingredients:
Two medium size potatoes
(peeled and cut slices)
3 tbsp corn starch
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Step 2: Shrimp Seasoning
Ingredients (8 Shrimps)

Julienned Ginger
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cooking wine
