Honey Prawns - stays crispy for HOURS!
This is a recipe for Honey Prawns, old school Chinese restaurant style. The miracle fry batter is a proven secret weapon used for Honey Chicken that stays crispy for hours, even after tossing with the honey sauce!
The secret? Ice cold soda water. Cornflour plus flour. And a double fry, fast becoming the worst kept Asian cooking secret for less greasy fried goods that stay crispy for hours!

Ingredients
1 pound jumbo shrimp or prawns (peeled and deveined) optional to leave the shells of the tails on or to remove them. The shrimp take on better shape while fried if the tails remain
1/3 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
3/4 -1 cup blanched almond flour I used Nature's Eats If you remove the tails you will likely need 1 cup, if you leave them on 3/4 cup should work.
salt and pepper to taste
seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay) to taste
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
Instructions
Combine the almond flour, parmesan cheese, seafood seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste in a bowl large enough to dredge the shrimp.
Place the beaten eggs in another bowl.
Dredge the shrimp in the eggs and then the almond flour mixture. Keep a moist towel nearby to wipe your hands as needed. If your hands are really sticky it will be difficult to keep the breading on the remaining shrimp.
Heat a skillet on medium-high heat. When hot, add the olive oil and butter. Allow the butter to melt and add the shrimp.
Once you have added the shrimp, try not to move them around much until a crust forms on the bottom of the shrimp. If you move them, you may lose some of the breading.
Once a crust forms on the bottom of the shrimp and the breading is golden brown, flip the shrimp. This should take about 3-4 minutes. It could be less depending on the size of your shrimp. Monitor the shrimp closely.
Fry the other side of the shrimp for a couple of minutes.
Remove the shrimp from the pan. Cool before serving.

Pinch of Garlic salt
1/4 cup of All purpose flour
2 cups Blanched Almond slices
Cooking Oil (for frying)
Sweet chili sauce (dipping sauce)
Batter mixture:
1/2 cup of cornstarch
2 egg whites

Cooking Keto | CRISPY AIR FRYER SHRIMP | Easy Air Fryer Recipe ????
Keto air fryer shrimp are crispy and healthy keto option. Great for salads, tacos, appetizers, and more!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb cooked shrimp peeled and deveined
2 Tbsp butter melted
1 large egg
2 tbsp heavy cream
6 tbsp almond flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley optional
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients—almond flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and, if desired, parsley.
In a different bowl, mix together the wet ingredients—melted butter, egg, and heavy cream. Mix everything, throw in the peeled shrimps. Make sure that each shrimp is covered in the egg mix.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray
Take the shrimps one by one and dip them into the dry mix. Then, place into the air fryer basket. Depending on your air fryer's size, you may need to cook the shrimps in two or three batches.
Set the air fryer to 390F, cook for five minutes, flip the shrimps onto the other side, then cook for five more minutes.
