How To make Bahama Fried Fish
3 lb Fresh fish fillets
Lemon pepper Garlic salt 1 c Pancake mix
1 c Italian bread crumbs
1/4 c Water
1 Egg -- beaten
Peanut oil
Preheat electric skillet to 350 degrees. Cut fish in bite-sized pieces. Lightly sprinkle with lemon pepper and garlic salt. Combine pancake mix and bread crumbs in a paper bag. Dip fish in water and egg mixture. Shake fish in bag to coat with crumbs. Fry in oil for 7 minutes, or until golden brown, turning once. Serve

Beer Battered Fish Sandwich & Tartare Sauce Recipe
Tartar sauce:
- 1/3 cup of mayonnaise
- Juice of a small lemon
- 1 tablespoon of fine-chopped red onion
- 1 tablespoon prepared white horseradish
- 1/2 tablespoon of fresh chopped dill
- 1/2 tablespoon fresh chopped Tarragon
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon/Brown mustard
- 3 tablespoons of chopped pickles
Mix well and set aside.
Beer Battered Fish:
- fish filet of your choice (preferably flaky flesh. We used Trigger Fish)
- clean filets and pat dry.
-Sprinkle with Valentine Thomas Bahama Mama ( or Old Bay seasoning and easy salt/pep.
Set up a pan with oil, about an inch deep. We are frying this as healthy as possible. Please use AVOCADO oil, the Healthiest and Tastiest option by far. Bring oil to 330-350°F, no more!
Batter:
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 tablespoon of Valentine Thomas Bahama Mama seasoning ( or Old Bay Seasoning
- 8oz of cold light beer.
- 1.5 tablespoon crystal/Cholula hot sauce
- add beer into the mixture slowly and whisk around until nice and frothy.
Fry fish for about 1-1:30 minutes per side, until golden brown. Let it cool on a cooking rack. Assemble the sandwich with Boston lettuce, shaved iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, thin red cabbage ribbons and liberal amounts of tartar sauce... And as always, use a toasted brioche bun!

**Grocery List**
Snapper Fish or any fish if your choice
Fish Seasoning (your choice)
Oil for frying
1 lemon or lemon juice (to wash Fish)
1 Sotch Bonnet Pepper

Ingredients
2 Ripe Plantains
1 1/2 cup oil ( allow to fry on medium heat for about 2 - 3 minute on each side before turning over)
FISH
Seasoned with garlic salt, red pepper flakes and lime
1 1/2 cup oil (allow to fry on medium heat for about 5 to 8 minutes on each side before turning over)
GRAVY
1/2 med. onion
1/4 med bell pepper
1/2 celery stalk
1 garlic clove
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. browning
thyme
1 cup water
Allow gravy to cook for about 5 minutes or so before putting it on the fish.
Garlic salt to taste
APPLE SLAW
1/4 large head cabbage
1/2 med. carrot
1/4 onion
1/4 bell pepper
1/2 celery stalk
1/2 red apple
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 lime
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup Hellmann's Mayonnaise
CORN & RICE
1 tin sweet corn
2 cups of rice (Jasmine Rice)
3 cups water
2 Tbsp. oil
1/2 med onion
1/2 med. bell pepper
1/2 celery stalk
1 garlic clove
1 tsp. thyme
garlic salt
salt
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 Tbsp. browning
Cook on medium heat
*Allow all of the water to dry out (or after 10 minutes of cooking) before stirring then reduce the heat to low under the pot with the lid on to finish up for about 5 minutes or so before serving.

Hello Homemakers, this video shows my recipe/method of cooking fried snapper. I hope you find this recipe easy to follow and hard to stop eating!
Seasoning Paste Ingredients:
1tbsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp fish seasoning
1 tsp mrs dash seasoning
1/2 lime
Mix ingredients together well to create a paste. Please, adjust seasoning to your liking!
