How To make Bavarian Apple Cheesecake
BILLS20086:
CRUST:
1/3 c Sugar
1/3 c Butter or margarine
1 tb Solid shortening
1/4 ts Vanilla
1 c Flour
1/8 ts Salt
FILLING:
4 c Apples peeled, cored, slice
16 oz Cream cheese :
softened
1/2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Vanilla
2 Eggs
TOPPING:
1/3 c Sugar
1 t Ground cinnamon
1/3 c Sliced almonds
In medium mixer bowl, beat sugar, margarine, shortening, and vanilla on medium speed of electric mixer til combined. Blend in flour and salt until crumbly. Pat onto the bottom of a 9" springform pan. Set aside. Place apple slices in a single layer in a shallow baking pan. Cover with foil. Bake in a 400~ oven for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large mixer bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add the eggs, all at once, beating on low speed just until combined. Pour into dough-lined pan. Arrange warm apple slices on top of filling. Combine the remaing sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle, with the almonds, on top of the warm apples. Bake, at 400~, for 40 minutes or until golden. Cool. Remove sides and
place cake on serving platter. Cover; chill 4-24 hours before serving.

In this Episode for my Holiday Series, I am doing a requested Recipe of a No Bake Apple Cheesecake, so creamy, quick, easy, and Bursting with Apple Goodness! A great, simple Dessert for Thanksgiving!
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 (9 inch) graham cracker crust
1 (20 oz) can Apple Pie Filling or Homemade
Cook’s Note: If you like your cheesecake a little more firmer, place in the Freezer for 1-2 hours.
In a large bowl, add cream cheese and cream until fluffy. Next add sweetened condensed milk and blend until well incorporated; blend in cinnamon and vanilla. Pour Cheesecake Filling into the Crust; refrigerated overnight until Firm. Add apple pie filling and serve.

Apples are in season so I made an apple pie this time!
I made three apple pies through trial and error.
We tried three different times to boil the apples for 10, 20, and 30 minutes.
The video footage shows an example of cooking apples for 30 minutes. This makes it look like apple jam, so I recommend simmering for 10-20 minutes.
A freshly baked apple pie with crème fraîche épaisse from France, clotted cream from England, and vanilla ice cream is very delicious.
I will show you how to make a simple apple tart with leftover pie dough at the end of the video.

Pie dish 21cm
◼Pie dough (brisée)
200g flour
3g (½ tsp) salt
30g sugar
130g cold unsalted butter
35g cold water
*Make two doughs with the ingredients above for the bottom dough and the top dough.
◼Filling
8-9 apples (1.35 kg apple slices)
75g unsalted butter
180g sugar
20-25g Lemon juice (Half a lemon)
◼Eggwash
1 egg yolk
15 g milk
➢Method
Put flour, sugar, salt and butter in a food processor and blend.
When it becomes sandy, add water and bring the dough together.
Fold the dough and chill in the refrigerator.
Melt butter in a pot, add apple slices, lemon juice and sugar, cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Take the lid off and boil down while stirring until the apples are completely dry, then let them cool.
Roll out the pie dough, place it in the mold, and add the apples.
Cut the pie dough into strips and place them on top of the pie.
Fold the outside of the pie dough into the mold.
Mix the egg yolk and milk, brush the pie and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 60-65 minutes. Bake in the bottom rack of the oven and cover with aluminum foil if the top burns.

Easy Bavarian Apple Torte Recipe | Val's Kitchen
BAVARIAN APPLE TORTE
For Crust:
½ cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
For Filling:
1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
½ tsp vanilla extract
¼ - ½ tsp almond extract
4 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Set oven to 450 degrees (F)
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add ½ tsp vanilla extract. Add flour and mix well. Spread on bottom and sides of 9 inch springform pan.
Toss apples with 1/3 cup sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Set aside.
Combine softened cream cheese and ¼ cup sugar, mixing until well blended. Blend in the egg, vanilla and almond extracts. Pour into the pastry-lined pan. Spoon apple mixture over cream cheese layer. Place springform pan on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees (rack in low position) for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 400 degrees and continue baking for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and place pan on cooling rack. Loosen crust from rim of pan but don’t remove rim. Once cooled, remove rim (may need to loosen a bit with a knife) then cool completely in the fridge.
