Quick & Easy No Knead Beer Bread | a 1990's Recipe
This recipe will knock your socks off! Super fast....super easy...super delicious! Serve with soup, chili, stews, etc. Change out the beer -- use a pilsner, or use a dark stout for a different flavor profile. Enjoy!
Quick Beer Bread
3 cups self-rising flour*, or
*This is the recipe you can use instead of purchasing self-rising flour: 3 cups all-purpose flour plus 1 teaspoon salt, and 4 ½ teaspoons baking powder.
¼ cup sugar
1 bottle (12 oz) beer of choice
¼ cup melted butter or margarine
In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar and beer. Do not over-beat. Spoon into a lightly buttered 5” x 9” loaf pan. Pour melted butter over the batter.
Bake in a 350 degree oven until golden brown and begins to pull from the edge of the pan, about 45-50 minutes. Check doneness with the clean toothpick test.
Remove bread from the pan and let cool on a wire rack.

No-Knead Artisan Beer Bread (updated)… super easy… no machines…
This video demonstrates how to make No-Knead Artisan Beer Bread.
One simple recipe with hundreds of options. Simply, by changing the wet ingredient... the beer... from a lager, to an amber, or hefeweizen you can have uniquely flavored bakery quality artisan bread.
Bread making doesn’t get any easier than this… no mixer or bread machine (I’ll make it in a glass bowl with a spoon)… no-kneading (Mother Nature will do the kneading for me). It doesn’t get any easier than this.
Thanks – Steve

Homemade Beer Bread - Adventures in Everyday Cooking
Recipe: Beer bread is such an easy thing to make from scratch, you'll wonder why you EVER bought a packaged mix. And, when you throw in a handful of mix-ins, you have something no other mix can give you!
Beer Bread
Ingredients using self-rising :
3 cups self-rising flour
1 bottle of room temperature beer 12oz
¼ cup honey (or sugar)
¼ cup of melted butter, brushed over top
*optional add in ideas: herbs, cinnamon/sugar, cheese, chocolate chips
Ingredients using all-purpose flour :
3 cups all-purpose flour, wheat flour, etc
3 tsps baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
1 bottle of room temperature beer 12oz
¼ cup honey (or sugar)
¼ cup of melted butter, brushed over top
*optional add in ideas: herbs, cinnamon/sugar, cheese, chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease your loaf pan.
Mix dry ingredients, honey, optional mix-ins, and beer together in a bowl. Pour into the prepared loaf pan and brush with melted butter.
Bake for 45-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean or internal temp is 200°F/93°C. Allow to cool on a wire rack before cutting.
Air Fryer Directions:
Find a pan that fits in your air fryer (this is not a small feet, make sure it's oven safe).
Pour your bread batter into your prepared pan.
Set the air fryer to 330°F and air fry for anywhere from 12 to 45 minutes depending on how much batter you use (don't use too much or it won't cook all the way through). It's done when you insert a skewer and it comes out clean.
Substitute Directions:
You can substitute beer with any carbonated soda.
