How To make Buckwheat Waffles
Buckwheat Waffles No. 2467 Yields 6 Servings
1 1/2 Cups Milk 1 LARGE Egg
2 Tbls Molasses 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
2 Tbls Butter 1/2 Cup Buckwheat Flour
1 Pkg Active Dry Yeast 1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Warm Water
Heat the milk in a (2 Qt.) saucepan just until bubbles form around the side of the pan. Remove from the heat. Stir in the molasses and butter. Allow to cool until just warm. Place the warm ((105 degrees-115 degrees) water in a medium bowl. Sprinkle the yeast over. Stir. Set aside to soften for 5 minutes. Beat the egg into the yeast mixture. Add the flours and salt, alternating with the warm milk mixture, stirring with a wire whisk until well blended. Cover the batter with a cloth and let rise in a warm place, away from drafts, until doubled in size (about 45 minutes). Heat the waffle iron. Ladle enough batter into the waffle iron to cover 2/3 of the grid. Use a spatula to spread the batter to the edges. Close the cover. Cook until the steaming stops. Use a fork to remove the waffle from the iron. Continue with the remainder of the batter.

These buckwheat pancakes are surprisingly light and fluffy given the flour we used is naturally gluten free. The texture is everything you want in a waffle, but with a more complex, nutty, very buckwheat-y flavour! We made a maple syrup apple reduction to top these off for a sweet start to the day!

Fiber-Filled Cinnamon Buckwheat Waffles (or Pancakes!) | Recipe of the Day | Vegan & Gluten-Free
This simple waffle recipe is plant-based and gluten-free! Learn how to make delicious vegan waffles (or pancakes!) that are packed with fiber.
Most people don’t get enough fiber, even though it’s the foundation of health. From optimizing digestion to reducing the risk of heart disease to lowering blood pressure, there’s not much that fiber can’t do. Getting enough fiber can be easy with a few simple swaps. For example, if you enjoy waffles or pancakes, swap out white flour (which has zero fiber) and use a whole grain flour like buckwheat (which has a whopping 12 grams of fiber per cup!). Not to mention, buckwheat flour also comes with plant-based protein, B vitamins, and phytonutrients, things not naturally found in processed white flour. What’s more, you won’t compromise flavor or texture as these waffles happen to be perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with a delightful nutty flavor to boot!

How to make Buckwheat Waffles
Takes little time to show you what ingredients go into my organic buckwheat waffles, and how easy it is to make them. A non dairy, gluten free, healthy alternative to wheat. Top them with raw honey and raw cacao to make a very tasty treat using Super Foods!! You can make them vegan by substituting banana or apple sauce for the egg. (Update 05/29/20: Use organic extra virgin olive oil instead of sesame and grape seed oils) My favorite way to make them now is with one egg white, and I eat the yolk raw (I use only the best eggs-pasture raised). The little red can is aluminum free baking powder.

Perfect Homemade Waffles (Mochi Vs. Belgian)
Yeah, waffles are good but most of the time, homemade just doesn't hit right. We're going to make a major correction to that by making mochi waffles, the classic Belgian liege waffle, and even a third an easy eggo style waffle.
