How To make Butterscotch Chewies
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Melt margarine. Add sugar, boil (stirring). Cool. Drop in eggs and mix. Add vanilla and flour. Pour into 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 0 minutes.

Makes 16 (2x2 inch squares, about 1 inch thickness)
8x8 inch baking pan
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted and browned
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt, add less if using finer salt
optional toppings:
1/4 cup chopped cashews, I used lightly salted ones
1/4 cup chocolate chips, I used dark chocolate chips

Ingredients for 13x15 inches pan
Lined with parchment paper
Dry
3 cups flour (all purpose flour)
1 tspn salt
3 tspn baking powder
Wet
1 cup margarine/butter softened
3 cups light brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tspn vanilla (green house brand from hicaps)
2 tbspn corn syrup/glucose
2 cup cashew nuts unsalted roasted
Baking temp 175-180c preheated oven
40-50 minutes or until the center is firmed
Note you can use 8x8 inches pan for half recipe or brownie pan
