ABSTRACT
Since Taylor's theories of #ScientificManagement in the early 20th century, most management has focused on improving #performance by changing behavior, and changing behavior by changing #motivation.
Turns out, people are more creatures of habit than they are of motivation or calculation. #PsychologicalSafety, engagement, and caring about people are all important for the leader of an organization, including a technical organization. To take that a step further and get a high performance #team, most engineering organizations need to be de-bureaucratized. Most attempts to improve #EngineeringEfficiency focus on process. That's difficult and boring.
Fortunately, you can get better results by making actual engineering decisions that restructure organizational decision-making, turning normal teams into high performance teams. [...]

TMNT: Smash Up - Cruise - Donatello vs Casey Jones - HD
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up is a 2009 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighting game for the Wii and PlayStation 2 video game consoles. It was released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. The game was developed by a Japanese game developer Game Arts, who had previously worked on Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and several former members of Team Ninja, who previously worked on Ninja Gaiden II and the Dead or Alive series. The full title was announced on January 23, 2009. The game is not specifically tied to any previous Ninja Turtles license, yet bears a similar artistic style to the 2007 CGI movie, TMNT.
The game is a four-player 2.5D fighting game, similar to the Super Smash Bros. series. During battle, players attempt to KO opponents by depleting their life bar, knocking them off the stage or into traps. Characters are color-coded on-screen via a glow effect to help players keep track of their character (a feature that can be toggled on and off in the options screen). Like Super Smash Bros., the game will include many customizable options for battles.
The game stresses interaction with the environment, and stages in the game feature traps, changes to the stage itself, and interactive elements. The game also feature items, including life-restoring pizza and ninja skills that grant players special abilities like fire breathing and electrical shields.
The modes for this game are Arcade, Battle Royal, Survival, Tournament, Swap-Out, Practice, and Mission Mode, as well as an online mode for four players and mini-games. Players can collect 'shells' during battles or mini-games and use them to unlock special features, including trophies that other players can win in online tournaments.
Arcade Mode features animated cut scenes illustrated by Mirage Studios artists.
The game's reception has generally been mixed. While praised for its online mode, it was thought to be too derivative of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. IGN rated TMNT: Smash Up 7/10, saying it's a Smash Bros. clone, but it makes you want to play Smash Bros. instead. GameSpot also gave it a 7/10, saying the game has good combat and solid content, but it lacks the refinement and razzle-dazzle to earn a title shot.
Fans reacted negatively to the roster, which is significantly smaller than that of Super Smash Bros. Brawl and contains characters only seen in the 2003 cartoon series, while characters from the 1987 series and films were ignored.
In early March, Michael Bay revealed at Nickelodeon's 2012 upfront presentation that the film will be simply titled Ninja Turtles and that the turtles will be from an alien race. News of Bay's creative change was met with negative criticism from within the fan community. In response to the announcement, actor Robbie Rist who voiced Michaelangelo the first three films, wrote to Bay accusing him of sodomizing the franchise. Rist later remarked that he could have been out of line since Bay makes more money than he does. In response to the feedback, Bay issued a statement asking fans to calm down since a script had not been revealed, his team was working closely with the creators, and would include all the elements that made them fans to begin with. In response to the backlash, Liebesman stated that he was glad to hear about the fan's response, since he and Eastman had been locked in a room working on ideas that, from his own perspective as a fan, everybody will love. While he would not confirm whether or not Bay's comment did represent the film's premise, he did stress on the ooze itself and its background in the original comic, reminding that the ooze was the product of alien technology. In regards to how the Turtles would be rendered, Liebesman would not say exactly what visual direction would be taken, but he did state that he did enjoy Weta Digital's work in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. He also pointed out that the film would not be exclusively about action but will also focus on brotherhood, friendship, and responsibility.
It was reported that production for this project has been shut down. While the release date has been pushed back five months, the work stoppage for the film was said to be indefinite. However, other sources say that the film will be released on May 16, 2014 due to problems in that script that need to be corrected. In July 2012, Eastman called it easily the best Turtle movie yet.
