room temperature
4 eggs
1/4 c sugar
1/4 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 box devil's food cake mix
1 1/4 c water
1/2 c vegetable oil

Devil's Food Cake - Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting
Rich and moist chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting.
Ingredients:
DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE
1 and 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
1 and 3/4 cups of granulated white sugar
3/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of buttermilk
1 cup of freshly brewed or instant unsweetened coffee
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
1 pint of heavy whipping cream
1 (8oz) package of cream cheese at room temperature
1 Cup of sugar
1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
1.Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
2. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda in a standing mixer with the paddle attachment on or with a hand mixer.
3. Mix in the eggs, vanilla, oil, coffee and buttermilk .
4. Line two 9 inch cake pans with parchment paper, or lightly grease them with butter so the cake does not stick to the pan when it bakes. Distribute the batter evenly between the two pans and give them a tap on the counter to get rid of air bubbles.
5. Bake for 25 min at 350 degrees fahrenheit or until you insert a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean.
6. Let them cool completely before frosting or the frosting will melt.
7. For the frosting, beat the cream cheese until whipped. Add the sugar and mix to combine.
8. Sift in the coca powder to get rid of any lumps and mix until everything is incorporated. Pour in the heavy cream and beat for 2-3 minutes or until it forms stiff peaks.
9. When the cake is completely cool transfer one layer to a cake board. Level the top of the cake with a sharp serrated knife.
10. Spread a layer of frosting and place the second layer of cake on top. Decorate it however you like .
11. I gave my cake a light coat of frosting then made rosettes with wilton's decorating tip 1M . Then i put chocolate chips in the middle of each rosette and toped it with fresh strawberries.

Hey Y'all!
This cake is SO good! I usually make it in a bundt OR tube pan; BUT, i wanted to make it 2-layer to celebrate my son's graduation!
We had scheduled a barbeque for the weekend! UNFORTUNATELY, there is supposed to be bad weather; so, I postponed it until Memorial Day weekend-Managerial Decision!
Recipe:
Duncan Hines Fudge Marble Cake Mix
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon of salt
4 eggs
1 1/3 cup of water
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
1 cup of sour cream
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix ALL ingredients for 2 minutes on medium speed
Reserve one cup of the batter in a bowl
Mix the fudge flavor packet into the batter
Pour batter into your pan- You can use bundt pan OR 2 round or square cake pans
Drop fudge mixture into batter by the spoonful.
Use a knife to swirl the chocolate around into the batter.
Bake according to the package directions for the type of baking pan that you use.
I LOVE this cake with chocolate icing; however, if you are using this as a birthday cake (IT is THAT good) you can use buttercream frosting.
For the icing presented in this video, I used the recipe for icing made with Nestle's chocolate morsels. It is NOT my favorite.
I prefer the icing using either Hershey's cocoa powder OR the baking chocolate squares 4 oz package.
