How To make Crockpot Beer Spice Cake
Ingredients

cup
butter
1 1/2
cup
brown sugar, firmly packed
2
each
eggs
2 1/2
cup
flour
1 1/2
teaspoon
baking powder
1/2
teaspoon
baking soda
1/4
teaspoon
salt
1
teaspoon
cinnamon
1
teaspoon
allspice
1 1/2
cup
beer
1/2
cup
walnuts, chopped
1/2
cup
golden raisins
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and allspice. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with beer. Mix until blended. Stir in walnuts and raisins.
Turn into well greased and floured 2 quart pudding mold. Place in crockery part of pot. Cover top of mold with 4 or 5 layers of paper towels. Place lid LOOSELY on crock pot. Cook on High allowing 3 1/2 hours for 3 quart pot and 4 hours for 4 1/2 quart size.
Cool on rack 10 minutes, then turn out of pan. Serve warm with Hard Sauce or ice cream. Makes 1 cake.

An Easy Spice Cake Recipe On A Rainy Day | Oatmeal Cake Recipe | Cooking
Recipes passed down from family are some of our favorites. Today I share an easy moist spice cake recipe called an Oatmeal Cake.
It requires brown sugar and we used our homemade brown sugar which is really easy to make and so much better than store-bought brown sugar. For every 2 cups of white sugar you add 1/4 cup of molasses and mix well.
Oatmeal Cake
Cake:
1 1/4 cup boiling water
1 cup uncooked oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup Shortening/lard/coconut oil
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Mix oatmeal, oil, and boiling water. Add sugars and eggs one at a time. Add flour and other dry ingredients. Add vanilla and bake in a greased 13×9 inch pan at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
Topping:
1 stick butter melted
1 cup coconut
1 egg
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
1 Tbsp milk
Mix together adding milk last. When cake is done, spread topping and bake another 15 minutes
