2 cup of cut up bread
few apple slices optional
1 cup whole milk
4 eggs
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp maple syrup
salt to taste
1/3 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon

Baked Apple French Toast Recipe | The Sweetest Journey
How to make delicious baked french toast with sweet apples.
Ingredients:
5 Tablespoons Butter
3/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
4 Apples, Peeled & Sliced Into Wedges
6 Large Eggs
1 1/3 Cups Milk or Milk Substitute
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon + More for sprinkling
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 Loaf (1 Lb.) Rye or Brioche Bread * I used marbled rye bread
Powdered Sugar
Directions:
1. Over medium heat, melt the butter in an ovenproof 10-12 inch skillet. Add 3/4 cup of sugar, salt, and lemon juice. Cook, stirring until sugar dissolves, then bring to a boil and cook 1 minute.
2. Add apples and cook, stirring occasionally, until apples begin to soften and the liquid thickens, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
3. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and vanilla until well combined. Dip each slice of bread in the mixture and turn to coat. Arrange the slices of bread on top of the apples in a circle and layered. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours and up to overnight.
4. Uncover and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

✅ BLUEBERRY FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE INGREDIENTS:
➤1 loaf (14- to 16-oz. loaf) day-old sourdough bread French bread, brioche, challah, or similar, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 12 c)
➤1 1/2 c blueberries, fresh or frozen
➤8 large eggs
➤2 c unsweetened vanilla almond milk or milk of choice
➤1/3 c pure maple syrup
➤zest of 1 large lemon (about 1 tbsp)
➤2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
➤1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
➤1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
➤1/8 tsp kosher salt
➤For serving: powdered sugar, maple syrup, butter
✅DIRECTIONS:
1. Coat a 9×13-inch casserole dish with nonstick spray. Arrange the bread cubes (see notes if the cubes are still very soft or fresh) in an even layer in the pan, then sprinkle the blueberries over the top. Set aside.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond milk, maple syrup, lemon zest, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the bread. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight. (If overnight is not possible, I recommend a minimum of 2 hours).
3. When ready to bake, remove the pan from the refrigerator. Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 55 minutes, until lightly golden brown on top and the bread in the center is moist but no longer liquidy. Serve hot, dusted with powdered sugar and topped with butter and maple syrup, as desired.

Ingredients:
1 loaf of bread
8 eggs
2 cups half and half
1/2 cup of milk
3 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

combine all ingredients, arrange bread in baking dish, pour custard over bread and refrigerate overnight, next morning make topping, 9x13 baking dish
Cinnamon Crunch Topping
1 1/2 stick melted butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Pour on top of bread and bake in 350 oven 35-45 minutes
