12 oz Frankfurters *1 3 tb Salad oil or fat 3 tb Flour 1 ts Salt 1/8 ts Dry mustard ds Rubbed sage ds Curry powder 1/8 ts Chili powder 1 sm Bay leaf 29 oz Canned tomatoes (1lb 13 oz) 8 oz Macaroni, cooked * the recipe calls for a 12 ounce can of frankfurters. Maybe a package of wieners would work. Cut franks in 1 inch pieces. heat fatoil add meat and brown lightly. Add flour and seasonings; blend with fat and franks in pan. Force tomatoes through a coarse sieve; Add pulp to ingredients in pan. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; continue to cook until thickened. Serve over hot, drained macaroni.

INGREDIENTS: 1 small onion, diced 3 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 a green bell pepper, diced 1 Portuguese sausage, diced 1 tbsp neutral oil 1 lb ground beef 1 tsp salt 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tbsp chili powder 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp paprika 1 (15 oz) crushed tomatoes 1 (15 oz) tomato sauce 1 (16 oz) red kidney beans 2 tbsp mayonnaise 2 bay leaves 8-10 Redondo dinner franks, cooked Salt and pepper, as needed *Add a tsp of sugar if sauce is tart *You can also use your favorite store bought chili seasoning packet. Serves 8-10 people
