How To make Fudgy Tennessee Pie
Pastry for single-crust pie 1/2 c Butter
3 oz Unsweetened chocolate
4 Eggs
1 1/2 c Sugar
3 tb Light corn syrup
1 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Salt
Ice cream 1. Line 9" pie plate with pastry. Flute edge. Line
with double thickness of foil. Bake at 450 for 8 minutes. Remove foil. Bake 4 - 5 minutes more till crust is set & dry. When crust is done, reduce oven to 350. Set crust aside. 2. In heavy saucepan, melt butter & chocolate together
over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat & cool slightly. 3. Meanwhile, in large mixing bowl, beat eggs with
electric mixer on medium speed for 4 - 5 minutes till thick & light-colored. Beat in sugar, corn syrup, vanilla & salt. Then, beat in chocolate mix. 4. Pour mix into partially baked pastry. Bake 350 for
35 minutes (center will still be soft). Do Not Overbake!.
Cool. Serve cool or wamr with ice cream Serves 8. NOTE: For a brownie sundae, serve pie with your choice of toppers to spoon & sprinkle over the ice cream. From Midwest Living, Oct. HOW TO MAKE A FUDGE PIE
Today I'm going to show you how to make a FUDGE PIE. Grab your ingredients and cook one along with me. RECIPE BELOW
▶︎ SHOP MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS:
Ingredients you'll need:
• 1 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
• 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour
• 1/3 Cup Hershey's Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
• 3/4 Cup Unsalted Butter - Melted (Equals to 1 1/2 Sticks of Butter)
• 3 - Eggs
• 1 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
• 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
• 1 - 9 Inch Deep Dish Pie Crust
Instructions:
STEP 1
• Add sugar and melted butter to large mixing bowl
• Use a hang mixer to mix sugar & melted butter together before adding other ingredients (NOTE: SUGAR WILL DISSOLVE FULLY WHEN COOKING)
STEP 2
• Add flour, cocoa, eggs, vanilla extract & salt to mixing bowl with sugar and butter
• Use hang mixer to mix all ingredients until batter is smooth
• Pour batter into a 9-inch deep dish pie crust
• Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until center is almost set
STEP 3
• Remove pie from oven and place on cooling rack or on top of your stove
• The pie will have a crust on top and a few cracks also - This is normal

This fudge is incredibly easy to make and has a rich creamy indulgent flavor. It is exactly like gift shop fudge which sells for $10 to $20 per pound depending on where you are shopping. You can make this for about $2 per pound and it literally only takes about 2 minutes. It is perfect for gift giving, something quick to take to an office party, holiday get together, potluck or hostess gift. No one will have any idea it was so easy to make.
This is a kid friendly recipe. There is nothing hot enough to cause a burn and it doesn’t require a long attention span.
