Baked Beans with Michael's Home Cooking
How I like to make Baked Beans. I top the beans with bacon and bake in the oven until the bacon is cooked with almost burnt edges for best flavor.
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons butter
1 cup chopped onion or more
1/4 or 1/3 pound ground beef (optional)
3 cans pork and beans (15 ounce size cans)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 and 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons brandy
1 and 1/2 cups ketchup
5 slices bacon
Yes... I only put in 1/2 cup ketchup because I was not thinking. I should have added the 1 and 1/2 cups ketchup. I wondered why the bean were dryer than normal. I guess I should make this video over.
Thank you for watching!

We’ll admit it, you can crack open a can of baked beans and heat it up and they’re already pretty darn good. But! You can crack open a can of baked beans and doctor it up a bit and they’re even better. And still totally easy. And these Hawaiian Baked Beans… ohhhh boy, with the savory magic of bacon and the sweet tang of pineapple, you’ll be beating back requests for the recipe. It’s nice to throw something different into the mix every once in a while and these are a nice break from your standard potluck side of beans… though they’re so tasty, it’s kind of a hard break to return from.
