How To make Italian Beef Stew
2 1/2 lb Beef stew meat, cut into
-1 inch cubes 4 Carrots, cut into 1/2 inch
-pieces 1 lg Onion, thinly siced and
-separated into rings. 1 cn Whole tomatoes, cut up
-(28 oz) 2 c Water
1 ts Salt
1 1/2 ts Italian seasoning
2 ts Instant beef bouillon
1 c Uncooked mastaccioli or
-other macaroni. Brown meat in slow cooker on top of range or skillet on medium heat. Transfer pot to base or meat to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients except pasta to cooking pot. Stir to combine. Cover and cook at Setting #3 for West Bend or low in others for 7 - 9 hours OR at #5 or high for 3 - 4 hours. Increase heat to high (#5). Add pasta and stir to blend. Cover and continue cooking for 30 minutes until pasta is done.

Italian Beef Stew AKA Spezzatino di Manzo
A perfect comfort food for the cold winter months. I prepare my version in a pressure cooker for this episode. Nothing will keep you from simmering this on the stove, cooking in a slow cooker or in a Dutch Oven.
Ingredients:
2 lbs Cubed Beef such as Chuck
1 Medium Onion
1 Cup Baby Carrots
3 Parsnips
2 Stalks Celery
1 lb Baby Potatoes
2-3 Bay Leaves
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Cup White Wine
3 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary
1/2 Tbsp Thyme
2 Cups Tomato Sauce
Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder to Taste

High Protein Recipes: How To Make Italian Beef Stew
Everyone loves a good stew, they're so easy to make, packed with protein and they're easy to make in bulk and freeze which can save a lot of time in the kitchen.
Here’s How To Make Italian Beef Stew
1. Heat a large pot on a medium heat and add the olive oil and gently fry the onions for a few minutes. Add the garlic and fry for a further minute.
2. Throw in the carrots, peppers, tomato puree, stock, seasoning and beef to the pan and mix through.
3. Cover with a lid and simmer for around 90 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken. If the sauce isn't as thick as you would like, simmer with the lid off until it reaches your desired consistency.
