(Preparations)
Prepare butter and eggs at room temperature (about 30 minutes)
Preheat the oven in advance

Frame size: width 16.5 cm, width 8.5 cm, height 6.5 cm

Tip
Scrape the butter on the side with a spatula.
Add eggs 6-7 times

Butter 100g
Sugar 100g
2 eggs
Cake flour 80g
Cocoa powder 20g
Baking powder 2g

Chocolate Pound Cake Recipe

Chocolate Pound Cake - buttery and dense, with a moist crumb, and a great chocolate flavor. This recipe doesn’t use too much chocolate and uses more cocoa powder instead.

Ingredients
Makes 2 loaf pound cakes
1 cup + 2 tbsp (250g) butter
1 1/2 cup (300g) sugar
1/3 cup (40g) cocoa powder
7 oz (200ml) milk
1.5 oz (40g) semisweet chocolate
4 eggs
1 2/3 cups (200g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp (1g) salt
2 1/2 tsp (10g) baking powder
nuts, for topping


1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Grease and line with parchment paper two 9x5in (23x13cm) loaf pans.

2. Place butter in a sauce pan and melt over low heat. Add sugar, cocoa powder and milk and stir to combine. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

3. To make the chocolate glaze for the topping, place the chocolate pieces into a small bowl and add about 1 cup (220g) of the hot cocoa syrup. Stir to melt the chocolate and set aside until ready to use.

4. While the cocoa syrup cools down slightly separate the egg whites from yolks and whip the egg whites until foamy and stiff peaks form.

5. Incorporate yolks one at a time and then add flour, salt and baking powder to the cocoa syrup and stir to combine. Gently fold the whipped whites into the mixture and divide mixture evenly into the prepared pans.

6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.

7. Pour the reserved chocolate glaze on the top and decorate with nuts if desired.

8. Let cool completely before serving.

This lemon cake is so velvety and yummy, your house will be full of lemon aroma when this cake is baking in the oven. This recipe is very easy to make and you can make it even without mixer.I made a lot of lemon recipes before but this poppy seed version is really to die for. all pound cakes are delicious to my opinion and this lemon pound cake is one of the best. I really enjoy a slice of this cake with a cup of tea. I hope you make it and enjoy it too.

Here's what you'll need:
1 cup sugar (200g)
2 teaspoon lemon zest (8g)
1/2 cup softened butter (110g)
2 tablespoons of veg oil
2 tbsp poppy seed
2 large eggs (room temperature)
2 tablespoons of lemon juice (30ml)
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour (187g)
1 teaspoon baking powder(5g)
1/2 teaspoon salt(3g)
1/2 cup milk (120ml)

LEMON GLAZE:
1/3 cup icing sugar (50g)
2 tbsp lemon juice (30ml)
