How To make Mincemeat Nut Bread
1/2 c Butter or margarine; softene
3/4 c Granulated sugar
2 Eggs
2 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Milk
1 1/3 c Mincemeat
1/2 c Walnuts; chopped
Recipe by: More House Specialties, Deanna House Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan, or line with parchment paper. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to the creamed mixture, alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Stir in the mincemeat and walnuts. Spread in the prepared pan and bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from the pan to cool completely on a rack. ingredients
200g raisins
50g dried figs
50g dried apricots
50g prunes
50g orange peels
140g grated apple
2 tbsp sesame seeds
3 tbsp almond powder
175g light brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 small piece of ginger (grated)
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp mix spice
Mix well and put in jars.
Store in the fridge for about 1 week. Then you can use.
