These are the most fluffy biscuits we’ve ever made. Our easy biscuits recipe calls for flour, butter, baking powder, and milk. These homemade biscuits are big, tall, tender, and delicious.

In this homestyle biscuit recipe, we cut very cold butter into all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. The butter makes these biscuits taste incredible. It also helps to make the crumb light, airy, and tender.
How to make biscuits without a processor: Whisk or sift the dry ingredients together. Cut the butter into small cubes. Scatter the cold butter cubes over the flour mixture, then use a pastry blender or your fingers to cut or rub the butter in until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
For buttermilk biscuits, swap the milk in our recipe for buttermilk. Buttermilk adds a tangy flavor to the biscuits and makes them slightly more tender.

How to make homemade the perfect fluffy and flaky buttermilk biscuits from scratch recipe. Written Biscuit Recipe Below ????
2 1/2 Cups of all purpose flour
1/2 of a cup of salted butter or one stick
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 of teaspoon of salt
1 egg yolk
Add the egg yolk to measuring cup and filled with buttermilk until you measure exactly one cup including the egg yolk.
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. Using fingertips, rub 1/2 cup chilled butter into dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk with the egg yolk and stir until evenly moistened. Flour your surface and roll out your dough folding it to form layers. Cut the dough into round biscuits and place onto a baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake until biscuits until golden brown about 20 to 25 minutes and enjoy. Official recipe by Heidy Guzman

3 tablespoons cold, regular, salted butter (42 grams)

2️⃣ Grate your butter using a cheese grater and stir into the flour mixture OR cut into small pieces and use a pastry cutter to cut the fat into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal or sand.
3️⃣ 00:01:19 - Gradually pour in the milk or buttermilk, stirring just until the dough comes together.
4️⃣ 00:01:38 - Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface and work it just until everything is well combined.
5️⃣ 00:01:54 - Press the dough flat until it is 1-inch thick. Use a circle biscuit cutter or a drinking glass to cut out your biscuits. Combine leftover scraps and continue re-pressing and cutting until all dough is used.
6️⃣ 00:02:35 - Place cut biscuits on an un-greased baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees for about 12-15 minutes, until the tops are nicely browned. Brush the tops with melted butter, if desired.
