1 tb Ground black pepper
You may make this sauce with meat or with sausage or both if you really want to. The way you do it depends on what you want to do with it or what you like. For SAUSAGE start like this; In your pot, brown sausages very well and remove from pot. Add 1/4 cup of oil to pot, then the two large onions diced fine (not minced), and then add five to six cloves of minced garlic (or to your taste) to oil dripping and the onion. Very, very slowly brown onions stirring often. Do not let it burn or the sauce will taste burned. For MEAT start like this; Add 1/4 cup of oil to pot, then the two large onions diced fine (not minced), and then add five to six cloves of minced garlic (or to your taste) to oil dripping and the onion. Very, very slowly brown onions stirring often. Do not let it burn or the sauce will taste burned. Add your meat and brown, breaking up the meat into the size you want to eat. Continue here; Then to your pot add the two cans of tomato paste, and the four cans of tomato sauce. Fill paste can (just one paste can) with water and rinse out both paste cans. Add to pot. Fill sauce can (just one sauce can) with water and rinse out all four sauce cans. Add to pot. STIR. If you Cooked the sausages replace them into the sauce now. Add Sweet Basil, Italian Seasoning and Parsley. STIR. Add black pepper and 1/2 to 1 tsp of salt. STIR and TASTE. Add more salt if you would like. Bring to a boil (uncovered) then turn down the heat and simmer for about four (4) hours or until you can't wait any longer. It's best to cook the sauce for at least two (2) hours to get the flavors to start to blend. STIR every 30 minutes or so. ENJOY!! Entered by Dave Bustin

Mom’s spaghetti and meatballs✨
For the Meatballs:▪️1 Cup Panko▪️1 Cup Milk▪️1 lb. Lean Ground Beef▪️1 lb. Hot Italian Sausage, casing removed▪️1 Bunch Parsley Leaves, minced (~1 Cup)▪️2 Eggs▪️4 Cloves Garlic, minced▪️1/2 Cup Dry White Wine▪️1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese▪️1+1/2 tsp Kosher Salt▪️1/4 tsp Pepper▪️
For the Sauce (or sub 2 jars marinara sauce):▪️1/4 Cup Olive Oil▪️1 Medium Yellow Onion, diced small▪️4 Cloves Garlic, minced▪️2 x 28 oz. Can San Marzano Tomatoes, with juice▪️2 tsp Salt▪️1 tsp Pepper▪️2 tsp Italian Seasoning▪️1/2 Cup Red Wine▪️
For Serving:▪️1 lb. Spaghetti▪️Parmesan Cheese▪️Parsley▪️
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 425F convection and grease a large baking sheet
2️⃣ Combine the panko and milk in a small bowl and let soak for ~10 mins until the panko absorbs the milk
3️⃣ In a large bowl, add the lean ground beef, hot Italian sausage, parsley, eggs, garlic, white wine, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and the panko + milk mixture; mix to combine
4️⃣ Form into 2+1/2” balls, place on the greased baking sheet, and convection bake 18-20 mins until internal temp reaches 165F
5️⃣ To make the sauce, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil with salt and pepper until onions are translucent (2-3 mins); add the San Marzano tomatoes (break them up with your hands as you put them in), Italian seasoning and wine; bring to a boil and cover and simmer for 25-30 mins
6️⃣ Add the meatballs to the red sauce along with the pan drippings (scrape all the bits off the baking sheet and add to the sauce) and simmer on low, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is ready
7️⃣ Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente and then transfer into a bowl and toss with a few ladlefuls of red sauce (you can add pasta water too if needed to thin it out a bit); serve with meatballs, parmesan, and parsley on top and enjoy!
