No-Bake Cookies - Chocolate, Peanut Butter & Oatmeal - EASY, QUICK, and DELICIOUS!
This is my mom's recipe for No-Bake Cookies, and it was my great-grandmother's recipe before her! We love these so much! These are known by different names in different families. I have just learned they are also called Minute Cookies and Preacher Cookies!
Here are the ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oatmeal
Instructions:
1. Melt together the first three ingredients, then add cocoa powder.
2. Once mixture has come to a steady boil, set timer for 1 minute.
3. After 1 minute, remove mixture from heat and add vanilla, peanut butter, and oatmeal.
4. Mix everything together well then drop no-bake cookies onto parchment or wax paper on your counter. They will generally firm up at room temperature. (If your kitchen stays very warm, they may take longer to firm up.)
5. After an hour to an hour and a half, enjoy these delicious no-bake cookies!
Peanut Butter Delights - A Classic No Bake Cookie!
This classic no-bake treat is fast and easy to make, and only requires a few ingredients. I remember having these in the grade school cafeteria - and they taste as good now as they did back then!
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
4 TBSP butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 TBSP cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 cups quick cooking oats
Prepare a couple of cookie sheets with parchment paper, or waxed paper.
In a large pot, combine sugar, milk, butter, vanilla and cocoa. Over medium heat combine and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Allow it to boil gently for 1 minute.
Add peanut butter and stir in until peanut butter is melted and combined. Add oats and remove from heat. Stir to make sure all oats are complete coated in chocolate mixture. Set pan aside for about five minutes so that it cools slightly.
Using a tablespoon, drop mixture on to parchment lined cookie sheets. Cookies will harden as they cool. Put cookie sheets in the refrigerator for 35-45 minutes, or in the freezer for 15 minutes. You can also let them just cool to room temperature. They should be kept in a sealed container in the refrigerator, but they won't last long! Enjoy!
(PERFECT CONSISTENCY SECRET!!) No Bake Cookies Chocolate Oatmeal Peanut Butter
Let me show you how to make no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. I am not a chocolate lover, but can never turn these down! This recipe for no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies is really easy to make using everyday ingredients. They are super quick, use pantry staples and are a crowd favorite! These are gluten-free as the grain of choice is oatmeal! I share with you my tips to make these the perfect consistency!
Recipe:
2 cups white granulated sugar
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter (I use unsalted) - chopped into pieces for easier melting
1/2 cup milk
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups quick oats
1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth - I prefer smooth)
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Prepare & measure all ingredients. Also prep drop station with a large piece of parchment paper. Once all ingredients are ready, add sugar, butter, milk and cocoa powder to pan. Stir continually on low/medium heat to melt butter and get all ingredients mixed. Turn heat up to medium and get to a slow boil. Boil barely any time. Immediately turn off heat and dump in oats, peanut butter and vanilla.
Stir until all mixed/peanut butter is melted.
Drop cookies into the size and shape you desire. NOTES: Hard to set in humid environments. Also, larger the cookie longer they take to set. The preparation allows you to quickly mix ingredients without over heating.
