How To make Old Fashioned Hamburgers
1 1/2 lb Lean Ground Beef
3 tb Butter Or Regular Margarine
1 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper
1/2 ts Dry Mustard
1/2 ts Paprika
1 ts Worcestershire Sauce
2 tb Lemon Juice
Shape the beef into 6 thick patties. In a large heavy skillet heat 1 Tbls of the butter or margarine and add the patties and cook to
the desired doneness. Meanwhile stir the remaining ingredients together adding 2 Tsp of water to them. Remove the patties to hot plates and cut 2 gashes in each and sprinkle with the spice mixture. Top each patty with a Tsp of butter or margarine. Stir 2 Tbls of water into the skillet and bring to a boil then pour over the burgers. Serve at once. from Gloria Pitzer's Secret Recipe Books

I LOVE TO EAT MINE WITH MASHED POTATOES
I MAKE MY GRAVY MORE THIN THAN MOST IN THIS DISH. BUT U CAN MAKE YOURS THICKER
RECIPE
1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1/3 cup chopped onions
Salt and pepper
For the sauce
1 cup sliced onions
1 cup sliced mushrooms(optional)
1 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoons yellow mustard
1 cup beef stock or water
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
Mix all meat and ingredients and form into oval patties ( makes 4 patties )
Brown off in skillet on both sides
Remove from skillet and place in baking pan
Add mushrooms(optional) and onions to skillet with oil and cook until soft
Add remaining ingredients and cook for 5 minutes
Slightly thicken with roux ( if u desire a thick sauce )
Add meat patties back to skillet and cook uncovered simmering for 20 minutes

Old Fashioned why? Cos I reckon they used to make them this way before they created mass produced frozen pucks people call hamburgers. yuk. I promise this is one of the best burgers you will ever have - and dont cheap out on the beef, the better the quality, the better the burger.

THIS IS MY RECIPE FOR THE BEST OLD SCHOOL CHEESEBURGER YOU EVER MADE AND TASTED I GUARANTEE IT

INGREDIENTS
Quick special sauce:
1/4 cup each of mayo, yellow mustard, maple and ketchup
Zest and juice of one small orange and lime
¼ cup pickled jalapeño
A splash of sherry vinegar
Burgers:
2 lb ground boneless chuck
1 lb ground sirloin
½ lb ground bacon
1 tsp each onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme
2 Tbsp dried shitake powder
¼ c Worcestershire sauce
Garnish:
American cheese
Butter pickles
Potato Rolls
RECIPE
In a bowl, combine all ingredients for sauce. Set aside until ready to assemble.
In a separate bowl, combine meat and then fold in spices, shitake powder and Worcestershire sauce. Divide into thin patties.
Cook patties over medium-high heat in a cast iron skillet or griddle top. Layer 2 patties with a slice of cheese between them.
Top with shaved onion and bread and butter pickles. Serve on a potato roll burger.
