How To make Oreo Cookie Tube Cake
25 Cream filled sandwich cookie
3 c Flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 1/4 c Milk
1 c Shortening
2 1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla
4 Large eggs
CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
6 oz Pk semi-sweet choco-chips
3 tb Shortening
1 tb Milk
1 tb Corn syrup
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour 9" fluted tube pan. Cut each cookie into quarters. In large bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat flour and remaining ingredeints except cookies and chocolate glaze until blended. Increase speed to high, beat 2 minutes, scraping bowl. Spoon about 3/4 cup batter into pan. Gently stir cut-up cookies into remaining batter and spoon into same pan. Bake 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched with finger (toothpick test won't work). Cool cake in pan on wire rack 10 minutes;remove from pan; cool on rack. When cake is cooled, prepare chocolate glaze. In 1 quart saucepan over low heat, heat chocolate chips, shortening, milk, cornsyrup, stirring until melted and smooth. Place rack with cake oven large plate to catch drips, then pour warm glaze over top and sides of cake. This cake freezes well, and is wonderful cold from the refrigerator.

Ingredients:
For the cake:
1¾ cups (220g) All-purpose flour
1/2 cup (60g) Cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1 teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
3/4 cup (175g) butter, softened
1 cup (200g) Sugar
2 Eggs
1 cup (240ml) Buttermilk
1½ teaspoons Vanilla extract
1/2 cup (50g) crushed Oreo cookies
For the frosting:
12 Oreo cookies
3/4 cup (175g) Butter, softened
1¾ cups (395g) Cream cheese, room temperature
2½ cups (315g) Powdered sugar *or more if needed
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
Chocolate ganache:
100g (3.5oz) Dark chocolate
1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
Directions:
1. Make the cake: preheat oven to 350F (175C). Line the bottoms of three 6-inch (cm) with parchment and grease the sides.
2. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt to a large bowl. Add crushed Oreo and stir well. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat until incorporated. Gradually add flour mixture and beat until incorporated, then add buttermilk and beat until incorporated. Repeat two times.
4. Evenly divide the batter between two pans. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool for 5-10 minutes in the pan. Release from the pan and allow to cool completely. cut the tops of the cakes to make it flat.
5. Frosting: in a food processor crush the cookies into fine crumbs. In a large bowl beat cream cheese and butter until combined, smooth and creamy, gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy. Fold in crushed Oreo cookies.
6. Assembly: Place one cake layer with flat side down. Spread a layer of frosting, place the second layer of cake on top of the frosting, flat side up. Spread another layer of frosting, then place the third cake on top. Spread evenly the remaining frosting on top and sides of the cake. Refrigerate the cake while making the ganache.
7. Chocolate ganache: Chop the chocolate, place in a large bowl. In a saucepan bring the heavy cream to a simmer. Pour over the chocolate. Let sit for 1-2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
8. Pour the ganache on top and allow to drip. Smooth top with an offset spatula. Pipe the remaining frosting on top of the ganache. And decorate with halved Oreo cookies.
Notes:
• For additional decoration you can pipe part of the frosting on top of the chocolate ganache and decorate with halved or mini Oreo cookies on the top of the piped frosting.
• You may not need that amount of chocolate ganache, so do not pour immediately all the amount on the cake, pour it gradually until you reach the desired amount.

If you’re a cookies and cream lover, then you are going to literally fall in love with this incredibly soft Oreo cake! This recipe consists of soft vanilla and Oreo cake layers, topped with a super smooth Oreo buttercream frosting – YUM!
INGREDIENTS:
Oreo Cake
- 14 Oreos - roughly chopped
- 2⅓ cups (300 g) flour - regular all purpose (see note 1 on blog post if you want to use cake flour)
- ¼ cup (25 g) cornflour - also known as cornstarch
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt - omit if using salted butter
- ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter - room temperature
- ½ cup (105 g) unflavoured vegetable oil - I use canola
- 1⅔ cups (332 g) white granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs - room temperature
- 1¼ tbsp vanilla essence/extract
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1½ cups (337 g) buttermilk - room temperature, see note 5 on blog post if using a homemade buttermilk substitute
Oreo Buttercream Frosting
- 14 Oreos - blended to fine crumbs
- 1½ cups (340 g) unsalted butter - room temperature
- 2¾ cups (350 g) icing sugar - also known as powdered sugar/confectioners sugar
- 1½ tsp vanilla essence/extract
- 1½ tbsp milk - heavy or whipping cream okay too
Extra for Decorating (optional)
- 3 Oreos (recommended) - to go it between the cake layers to add extra crunch/texture
- 4 Oreos (optional) - to decorate the sides of the cake (blended into fine crumbs)
- 10-12 Oreos (optional) - to put on the top of the cake
Bake at 160 °C (320°F) with the fan on for 33 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. If your oven doesn't have a fan option, then you will need to increase the baking temperature to 175°C (347°F).

How to Make an Oreo Cake
OREO CAKE!!!!!! I love cookies and I love cake but it never occured to me to put them together until a very special birthday request for an Oreo Cake! Cookies and Cream cakes are so amazing. It's somewthing about the crunch and creaminess that just sets them apart. This has become one of the most popular posts on my blog so you know it's got to be good!
I whipped up my moistest cake (is there a synonym for moist because I am NOT a fan of the word but am constantly forced to use it ?) and folded in chopped Oreos. There is — of course — a swirl of ganache because chocolate because it’s absolutely delicious.
Don’t forget the BEST BEST BEST part: the buttercream!!! I’ll be honest and tell you that I’ve never craved an Oreo — or eaten more than a couple at a time — but when crushed and blended into buttercream, they’re AMAZING!!! If you want the EASIEST cake hack ever, just whip up some of this stuff. Cover anything in it and you’ll be an instant hero? Channel your inner superman and make this crowd pleaser.
