How To Make the BEST Texas Sheet Cake Cookies!!!
Today we are whipping up the world’s greatest #chocolatecookierecipe! Texas Sheet Cake Cookies are over the top chocolatey, cakey, gooey, deliciousness and it doesn’t get better than this!#TexasSheetCake is a decadently moist chocolate dessert that gets covered in a fudgy #chocolateicing. This cookie is that cake in handheld form. Yes, please!
You can get the full recipe here:
To make this decadent #chocolatedessert, you’ll start with sugar and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Mix the two together on medium-high until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes. Next, add butter and chocolate chips to a microwave-safe pitcher and melt it down in the microwave and stir together.
Once your egg and sugar mixture has thickened up, it’s time to make the dry mix for our #TexasSheetCakeCookies! For the dry mix, you’ll need cake flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk it all together!
Now, it’s time to bring the #cookiedough home! Drizzle the chocolate-butter mixture into the bowl with the eggs and sugar. Then, add the dry ingredients.
HOT TIP: Take special care to wipe down the sides and the bottom of the bowl and mix again. This will help to ensure all those ingredients get mixed in properly!
Set the dough aside and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
Now you have a decision to make! Are you team #pecans or no pecans? If you’re using nuts, add them now! Then, scoop the cookie dough and #bake the cookies in a preheated 375°F oven for about 10 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool completely and let’s make that Texas Sheet Cake Icing! To make the icing, add butter, cocoa powder, and milk to a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high. Then, once it’s melted, add the powdered sugar and stir it in. As soon as the mixture bubbles up, add the salt and vanilla.
Now, back to the cookies! Dip the cookies in the #chocolatecookingicing and allow the excess to drip off and place it on a sheet of wax paper to set up. Sprinkle it with Kosher salt for a salty-sweet finish and chopped pecans, if using!
Lastly, pat yourself on the back! You’ve just made the #bestcookierecipe in the world. It doesn’t get more delicious than Texas Sheet Cake Cookies, folks!
