Instant Burfi Recipe | Milk Powder Barfi Recipe
Ingredients
• Milk 3/4 cup
• Sugar 1/2 cup
• Milk powder 2 + 1/2 cup
• Clarified Butter/ Desi Ghee 1/3 cup
• Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
• Pistachios chopped 3-4 tbsp
Instructions
1. Grease a dish/baking tray with desi ghee and line with a parchment paper.
2. Add milk, sugar, milk powder and clarified butter in a karai (wok) and mix on a very low flame until there are no lumps.
3. Keep cooking on a very low flame, stirring continuously, until the sugar dissolves and milk starts to thicken.
4. Keep cooking on a very low flame until the mixture leaves the wok and forms into a dough.
5. Turn the flame off and transfer the mixture immediately into the prepared dish and spread evenly.
6. Top with chopped pistachios and press gently.
7. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or overnight.
8. Take out of the tray and cut into small cubes.
9. Serve chilled.
Café Style Oreo Bars
Ingredients
• Light brown sugar 1/2 cup
• Granulated sugar 1/4 cup
• Oil 1/2 cup
• Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
• Egg 1 large
• Milk 1/2 cup
• All-purpose flour 1+1/4 cups
• Unsweetened cocoa powder 1/3 cup
• Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
• Salt 1/4 teaspoon
• White chocolate chips 1/2 cup
• Oreo cookies 6, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease an 8x10'' baking pan and line with parchment paper.
2. Mix and salt in a bowl.
3. To a large mixing bowl add brown sugar, granulated sugar and oil. Beat until light in color and creamy in texture. Add egg, milk and vanilla and mix well.
4. Add all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt to the mixture and mix just until incorporated. Fold in chopped Oreos.
5. Spread the dough into the baking pan.
6. Bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Do not bake for too long otherwise the brownies will be dry and crumbly.
8. Take out and allow to come to room temperature. Cut into squares and enjoy with coffee/tea.
Almond Tea Cake
Ingredients
• All-purpose flour 1 cup
• Baking powder 1 tsp
• Baking soda 1/2 tsp
• Oil 1/4 cup
• Sugar 1/2 cup
• Milk 1/4 cup
• Yogurt 1/2 cup
• Vanilla essence 1 tsp
• Chopped almonds 2 tbsp
Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (using upper and lower rods).
2. Grease a 6 inch bread mould with oil and place a butter paper in it.
3. Mix oil, sugar, yogurt, milk and vanilla essence really well with a hand whisk.
4. Sift flour and baking powder, baking soda into the mixture and mix. The batter will be thick.
5. Fold in chopped almonds.
6. Add the batter to the mould and bake at 180°C (using upper and lower rods) for 30-40 minutes or until the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool in the mould to room temperature.
8. Take out and cut into slices.
9. Serve with tea. Enjoy!

Measurements
- 3 1/2 cups flour not 4 1/2
- 1 tbs yeast

Diet forms a very important role in the healing process of the cesarean's delivery. So you need to eat a balanced healthy diet which is a combination of fibers, essential fatty acids and proteins and also carbohydrates. Refined carbohydrates are to be avoided and complex carbohydrates in the form of fruits, vegetables, dry fruits everything to be included. For the protein we have animal protein like egg, milk and dairy products like cheese when it comes to the vegetarian sources of proteins we have pulses sprouts and dals all the other things the only thing that you have to avoid immediately during after cesarean delivery is highly spicy, oily food which can cause a lot of gastritis and also refined carbohydrates like ghee and the bakery items they can also increase your gastritis. Since you will also be taking antibiotics and painkillers soon after delivery it is better to avoid such overtly spicy oily foods. Consume more of a complex carbohydrates rich food like protein rich food. Mixed balanced diet is always good. After few days that is after six weeks when the healing process and all is complete but you will still be lactating you would require extra calories and extra proteins. So keeping in that mind you will have to increase your dietary intake of proteins and also calcium along with Vitamin D supplements.
