How To make Straw Mushroom Medley
1 cl Garlic minced
3 tb Soy sauce
2 tb Dry sherry
7 oz Jar whole straw mushrooms,
Drained 1 tb Sugar
2 tb Sliced almonds
1 lb Sirloin steak, cut into 2"
Long paper thin strips 2 ts Cornstarch
2 tb Soy sauce
1 tb Vegetable oil
1 cn (8 oz) sliced water
Chestnuts, drained 3 c Fresh broccoli florets, cut
In 1" pieces 1 sm Onion, cut into slivers
1 Red bell pepper, cut into
Strips Hot cooked rice, if desired In shallow bowl,combine garlic,soy sauce,sherry and sugar; blend well.Add meat strips;stir to coat well.Let stand 30 minutes;drain,reserving marinade. In large skillet,heat oil.Add meat strips;cook over high heat 2 to 3 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.Stir in broccoli and onion;cook until crisp tender.Stir in reserved marinade;add remaining ingredients.Cook until mixture becomes slightly thickened.Serve over cooked rice,if desired.Makes 4 to 6 servings.

INGREDIENTS:
200gm chicken fillet, cut into bite-size
200gm King oyster mushrooms
Handful of sweet basil
2-3 stalks of lemongrass, inner white part, chopped
1-1 ½ tbsp coarsely grounded black pepper
1 fresh red chilli, chopped
50ml water
Oil for cooking
SAUCE MIXTURE:
1-1 ½ tbsp oyster sauce
1-1 ½ tbsp dark sweet soy sauce/kicap manis
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
**************************************
1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
METHOD:
Heat up 4 tbsp of oil in a wok/pan over medium low flame. Then, add in the chicken and lemongrass. Cook, 2 mins.
Now, add in the mushrooms and cook for another 2 mins. Add in the water and you may use a lid to keep it covered.
Now, add in the sauce mixture, pepper, basil leaves and chopped chilli. Toss everything together and finally add in the cornstarch mix. Turn off the flame.
Enjoy this awesome dish with a bowl of rice!

Those who love seafood and tasty mushrooms, here is another stir fry chinese cooking loaded with aromatic garlicky flavor, that will satisfy your graving. Enjoy.

10 oz. ------ shrimp
marinade:
1 Tbsp --- light soy sauce
1 tsp ------ corn starch
1 Tbsp ---- cooking oil
8 oz. ------------ fresh shiitake mushrooms
8 oz. ------------ fresh oyster mushrooms
as needed --- cooking oil
3 cloves ------ garlic (sliced thinly)
1/3 cup ------- chicken broth
1 Tbsp -------- each, oyster sauce & light soy sauce
1 tsp ----------- sesame oil
1/2 tsp ------- corn starch
1 stalk -------- green onion (cut 2″ in length )

Peppery delicious stir fried mushrooms which hardly takes a few minutes to prepare, this stir fried mushroom recipe is a great idea for your weeknight dinner or if you are feeling lazy to make something elaborate.

Ingredients required for making Garlic Mushroom Pepper Fry -
* Bell Peppers(Capsicum) - can choose different colors or any color according to your preference and convenience -- 250 gm
* Mushrooms - 500 gm ( I have taken white regular mushrooms and cremini mushrooms. You can use any mushrooms according to your choice) . Do not keep your mushrooms soaked in water. Rinse them very well under running water just before cooking them.
* Onion - 1 small or half of a medium onion
* Garlic - 5 to 6 large cloves
* Ginger - 1 inch
* Jalapeno/ green chillies - According to your preference
* Red Hot Chilli - 1 (totally optional)
* Whole black peppercorns - 1 teaspoon, use less if you want your dish less spicy.
* coriander leaves/cilantro - I used the stalks for stir frying and the leaves as a garnish. You can even use green onions (spring onions).
* salt - as per taste
* lime/lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
* oil - 2 tablespoons
For the sauce -
* Light soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
* Dark Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
* Tomato ketchup /tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon
* Sugar (optional)- 1 teaspoon
* Salt - as per taste
Serve this with hot steamed rice or chow mein or bread roll
