Ingredients

cream of celery soup, cans
1/3
cup
sherry, dry
2/3
cup
milk
2
tablespoon
parsley, dried, flakes
10
oz
vegetables, frozen, mixed
2
each
tuna, canned, drained, flaked
10
oz
egg noodles, cooked
2
tablespoon
butter, or margarine
1/2
cup
almonds, toasted
Directions:
In a large bowl, thoroughly combine soup, sherry, milk, parsley flakes, vegetables, and tuna. Fold in noodles. Pour into greased crockpot. Top with almonds and butter. Cover and cook on Low 7 to 9 hours. (High: 2 to 3 hours). Do not overcook noodles-just until tender.

14oz egg noodles
1 medium onion

4oz mushroom
2 tbsp olive oil
1 c whole milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp sugar
1 c green peas
1 c parmesan cheese
salt and pepper, to taste

1 or 2 cans - Cream of Chicken Soup
1 or 2 cans - Cheddar Cheese Soup
2 or 4 cans - 4oz. Tuna in water
1 bag of Shredded Cheddar Cheese (more cheese is optional)

My family's favorite casserole! I think you will enjoy it too. The French fried onions (and cheese) take this casserole to a new level.
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
12 oz. egg noodles
21.5 oz. cream of mushroom soup, do not add water (2 cans)
10 oz. tuna in water, drained very well (2 small cans)
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup frozen peas
1.5 cups medium cheddar cheese
6 oz. French fried onions (don't add until the last 10 minutes)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Start a large pot of water on the stove top over medium high heat. Cook the noodles according to package directions and do not let them cook any further, have the next steps ingredients ready.
Drain the noodles and put them back in the pan. Add the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, onion powder, pepper and peas. Stir.
Spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray. Pour the noodle mixture into the pan and spread out. Sprinkle over the cheese. (Wait to add the French fried onions)
Place the casserole uncovered into the oven on the center rack. Cook for 25 minutes. Remove casserole from oven and sprinkle over the French fried onions. Place the casserole back in the oven and cook for 10 minutes more.

It's truly incredible how certain dishes we ate in our childhood and especially comfort food recipes can instantly take us back in time. This Tuna casserole does exactly that for me as I used to eat this on special occasions growing up.
Hurrell Family Tuna casserole Recipe:
8 tbsp unsalted butter
1 large onion medium dice
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
6 cups whole milk
4 oz sharp cheddar
12 oz salted canned tuna in olive oil
10 oz frozen peas
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 lb wide egg noodles of choice
Panko topping:
1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
3 1/2 tbsp unsalted melted butter
4 oz sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp Maldon salt
