Cream butter and Shortening thoroughly; add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time. Beat until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add 2 cups flour alternately with milk containing flavoring. Add the last 1 cup flour containing salt and baking powder. Stir in 1 cup finely chopped walnuts. The batter will be thick and fluffy. Spoon into tube pan, which has been lightly greased and floured. Place the cake in cold oven on middle shelf. Turn oven to 350 degrees. Don't open door for 1 1/4 hours. Allow cake to cool in pan on wire rack

Walnut Pound Cake Starting With a Cake Mix
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup AP flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream ( room temperature)
1 cup oil
6 large or extra large eggs (room temperature)
1 to 1-1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts or pecans or nut of your choice
Preheat oven to 350. Grease very well a tube pan
Add all ingredients to a mixer, just dumping them in together. Beat at medium speed until thoroughly mixed, about 5 minutes. Pour into a well greased tube pan and bake 55 to 60 minutes or until a tester inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes in tube pan then turn out on a cooling rack until cool. Enjoy!!

Traditional Walnut Butter Pound Cake Recipe | Best Holiday Dessert
#stayathomerecipe #cakerecipe The secret of traditional walnut butter pound cake has crusty on the outside with soft and moist inside.
Ingredients
**Makes 1 for large loaf pan or 2 for medium loaf pans**
1/2 lb melted butter, cooled
1 C sugar
6.5 oz cake flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
6 eggs, room temperature
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp milk

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F
Add vanilla extract and milk into melted butter, set it aside.
Sifted together the flour and baking powder, set it aside.
Beat the eggs with salt and sugar in med-high speed until double of the volume, when writing #8 and it'll stay for seconds then it's done, takes about 5-6 minutes.
Add the sifted flour into egg mixture, mix well. Then add in the butter mixture and keep mixing it till well mixed, do not over mix otherwise it'll turns into tough or bread like texture!
Pour the batter into a loaf pan (s) and finally adding the walnut.
Bake 40 minutes for medium pan and 55-60 minutes for large pan.
Take out from the oven, leave the cake on the counter for at least 15 minutes before releasing from the pan, then let it cool on the rack for another hour.

Orange, Raisins & Walnuts Pound Cake
Orange & Raisins Pound Cake:
2 Cups + 3 Tsp Flour
4 Large eggs
Zest of one Orange
1 and 1/3 C Sugar
1 C Half & Half or Milk
1 C Vegetable oil(Canola oil)
2 tsp Vanilla extract
2 tsp Baking powder
1 pinch of Salt
1/4 C to 1/2 C Raisins
1 tsp flour to dust the Raisins
1/3 C Toast Walnuts (Opt.)
Grease loaf pan with nonstick spray.
Topping(Opt.):
Sliced Pistachios add it on top of Pound cake before baking.
Preheat the oven to 350° F
(or 180° C)
Place the cake pans in the center of the oven and bake for about 50 to 60 minutes.
(or toothpick test comes out clear)
