Whole Wheat Masala Crackers | Healthy Crackers Recipe | TabuTinkuFoodies
These Whole Wheat Masala Crackers are a tasty and healthy snack ????!! Apart from whole wheat, these crunchy crackers have some ragi (finer millet), lil bit of flaxseeds and tons of spices which add so much flavour to them! These crunchy crackers taste amazing as is, and make for a perfectly with your tea-time as well !!
INGREDIENTS
*1 cup Whole Wheat flour/ गेहूँ आटा
*1/4 cup Gram flour/ besan/ बेसन
*1/4 cup Ragi flour/ finger millet/ नाचनी
*2 tbsp ground Flaxseeds/ अलसी पाउडर
*1 tbsp white Sesame seeds/ तिल
*1 tbsp black Sesame seeds/ तिल
*1/2 tsp Baking powder/ बेकिंग पाउडर
*1/2 tsp Carom seeds/ अजवाइन
*1/2 tsp Cumin seeds/ जीरा
*1/2 tsp Fennel seeds/ सौन्फ
*1/4 tsp Turmeric powder/ हल्दी पाउडर
*3/4 tsp Red chilli powder/ लाल मिर्च पाउडर
*3/4 tsp Coriander powder/ धनिया पाउडर
*1 tsp salt/ नमक
*2 tbsp Jaggery powder or Coconut sugar / गुड़ पाउडर
*3 tbsp Oil/ तेल
*1/2 cup Water/ पानी
INSTRUCTIONS
1- For the flaxseed powder, add some flaxseeds in a grinder or blender and blend them into a fine powder.
2- Now in a large bowl, add all the ingredients. Using your hand mix well and form a dough out of it.
3- Divide the dough in two parts. Take one part, shape it into a ball, then flatten it, and using a rolling pin roll it out into a thin circle. Make sure to preheat the oven at 180°C/ 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
4- Now place the dough circle on a parchment paper and using a knife start cutting the crackers( feel free use cookie cutter for your desired shape). Bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C/ 350°F for around 30 minutes. Allow to cool completely, store in an airtight container and enjoy!!

HOMEMADE GRAHAM CRACKERS RECIPE
(makes 15 crackers)
Ingredients:
1 cup ground oats or oat flour (100g)
1 cup whole wheat flour (100g)
1 tbsp tapioca or cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp butter (45g)
3 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (60ml)
NUTRITIONAL INFO (per cracker):
92 calories, fat 2.8g, carb 15g, protein 1.7g
Preparation:
In a mixing bowl, mix the dry ingredients (oats, whole wheat flour, cornstarch, baking soda, cinnamon and salt). Grate the cold butter and mix it in.
On a side, combine the wet ingredients, applesauce and honey.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, and mix with a wooden spoon, until the dough starts to form. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Transfer the dough onto a working sufrace and gently press couple of times.
Roll out the dough between two pieces of parchment paper.
Cut into crackers using a ruller and pizza cutter. Transfer the whole sheet into a baking tray, and give it a quick freeze (10-15 minutes).
Bake at 350F (180C) for 15 minutes. Let it cool in the tray for 10 minutes, then transfer onto a cooling rack.
