Meal Prep this healthy turkey chili for 5, 6, or 7 days!

Here is another very easy meal you can prep at the beginning of the week for lunch. Freeze the meals and then defrost in the refrigerator the night before you are going to heat. Heat in the microwave or transfer to a plate and then heat in the microwave. Boom.
Lunch main ingredients: 25 oz lean ground turkey, 2.5 cups black beans, 1/4 cup corn, 1/2 cooked brown & wild rice.
Approx macros for 1 lunch: 362 calories, 43g protein, 42g carbs, 3g fat

Spicy Chili Recipe | Homemade Turkey Chili | How to Make Super Flavorful Chili
Today is the first official day of Countdown to Christmas! What better way to kick things off than with a super flavorful chili recipe?! Nothing beats a spicy bowl of chili on a super cold day! Whether you pair it with cornbread, Fritos, or a baked potato it is sure to be super satisfying!
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs of ground turkey (or ground beef)
28 oz can of diced tomatoes
2 cups of chicken broth (or beef broth if using ground beef)
16 oz can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 tbs of Salsa , your favorite brand (optional)
1-2 packets of McCormick Chili seasoning
1 large yellow onion, diced
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbs of chili powder
1 tbs of onion powder
1 tbs of garlic powder
2 tsp of cumin
1 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of salt (optional)
red pepper flakes, add according to your desired spice level (optional)
RECIPE NOTES:
- Sauté onions and garlic on medium heat until soft and translucent. Add in turkey, chili powder, onion and garlic powder, cumin, and black pepper. Cook until brown
- Add in beans, tomatoes, broth, 1 packet of chili seasoning, salsa and red pepper flakes. Stir until combined and simmer on medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes.
- Adding in the salsa just gives the chili a little extra something. It is most definitely optional but if you can, give it a try!
- Taste for salt and other seasonings and adjust according to your liking. Simmer for another 30 minutes then serve!
- This is definitely a great recipe for the crockpot! Just brown the ground turkey, onions, and garlic in a skillet then transfer over to your crockpot. Add all other ingredients and seasonings and set your crockpot to low for 6 hours or high for 4.
