Making Norwegian Kringla (Kringle)
Hi friends! Lately I've been thinking about my family's traditions and I've wanted to make sure that I can capture them so that I can keep them in my family for years to come. Previously we made a video about making Potato Klub, and we decided to also make one for Norwegian Kringle, or Kringla. This one competes with lefse for me as one of my favorite treats that always makes its way to my plate at Christmastime.

Episode 8 - OsloKringle
We chose Oslo Kringle for out last Norwegian recipe. It was pretty good. Kind of eggy, but it might have needed a little more oven time. Either the actual bake or the drying out time...not sure. We will probably make this one again some time. It reminds me of my favorite pastry...Danish Kringle, which uses puff pastry, has a filling, and then is glazed with icing.
How to Make EASY Scandinavian ALMOND Cake Recipe
Here we show you how to make an easy Scandinavian Almond Cake. Almond flavors is very common in the Scandinavian baking recipes including cakes and cookies. This Scandinavian cake recipe only has 7 ingredients and easy to make from scratch. What makes this cake interesting is the long cake form which is commonly used in the Scandinavian countries for home made cakes with fillings too. So I plan to make Scandinavian cakes with fillings in upcoming recipe videos too.
Ingredients: 1 egg 1 1/14 cup of sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract 2/3 cup of milk 1 1/4 cup of flour 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder one stick of softened butter 1 Almond Cake Loaf Pan ❄️ Instructions ❄️ 1) In a bowl add 1 Egg, 1 1/14 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract, 2/3 cup of milk. Beat the mixture. 2) Add into the bowl 1 1/4 cup of flour and beat the mixture. 3) Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and the beat the mixture. 4) Add one stick of softened butter and beat the mixture. 5) Pour batter into a prepared Almond Cake Loaf Pan 6) Sprinkle almond slices for extra flavor and texture. 7) Bake at 350 F for 40 to 50 minutes. Let the cake cool in the pan. Then turn the Almond Cake Loaf Pan over to release the cake. Decorate the cake with Scandinavian flags or other fun cake decorations.
