How To make Almond Butter Loaves
CRUST- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
2/3 cup margarine
soften
2 cups almonds, toasted :
chopped
1 cup flour, all-purpose
CAKE- 1 package cake mix * see note
3 eggs
2/3 Cup water
1/2 Cup butter or margarine :
soften
GLAZE- 1 Cup powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon water up to 2 TB
1/4 Teaspoon almond extract
4 Tablespoons almonds :
sliced,garnish
*Use a golden butter recipe cake mix for best results. Preheat oven to 375~. Grease and flour 2, 9x5" loaf pans. CRUST: Combine brown sugar and butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Stir in toasted almonds and flour. Blend well. Divide and press evenly into pans. CAKE: Combine cake mix, eggs, water and butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed for 4 minutes. Pour into pans. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until tested done. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Invert onto cooling racks, crust side UP. Cool completely. GLAZE: Combine powdered sugar, water and almond extract in small bowl. Stir until smooth. Add water 1 tbls at a time until glaze is desired consistency. Spoon over colled loaves. Sprinkle sliced almonds over top. TOASTED ALMONDS: To toast almonds, spread in a single layer on baking sheet. Bake at 325~ for 6-8 minutes or until fragrant and light golden brown. Cool before chopping.

Home made Almond Loaf Cake - Eggless and Easy
Ingredients:
Softened Butter(salted or unsalted) -1/4 cup(45 gram)
Powdered Sugar-3/4 cup(120 gm)
Vanilla Extract-1 tsp
Milk-1 cup (250 gm)
Refined Flour-1 cup (150 gm)
Baking powder-2 tsp (6 gm)
Almonds-1/2 cup (65 gm)
Silvered almonds-3tbsp+ for garnishing
Method:
Add butter ( i used unsalted butter) and powdered sugar in a bowl and whisk well using an electric beater till its soft and fluffy.Now add milk and vanilla extract to the mixture. Make sure the milk is not cold , it should be at the room temperature for better mixing.Add milk slowly and gradually and mix well.Wet ingredients are ready.
Now, for the dry ingredients,Grind almonds in a grinding jar and grind well. Add this along with refined flour and baking powder to the wet mixture. Make sure its sifted well using a sieve before adding to the mixture.
Mix and fold well till the ingredients are well combined. Do not overmix. Add silvered almonds and mix.
Line a loaf pan with butter paper and transfer this mixture to the pan.Top it with some silvered almonds.Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree celsius or 355 degree Farenheit for about 30-35 minutes.Check if the cake is done by pricking tooth pick in the centre of cake. If its comes out clean the cake is done. if not, bake for few more minutes.
Remove from the oven and cool down to room temperature. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

Bake on a preheated oven at 350°f/180°c for 50 to 60 minutes. Cover with foil after the first 20 minutes to avoid burning the top of the bread.

Peanut Butter Loaf Recipe
I gave this recipe from the Sanitarium website a go (with a few twists!) ... it ended up being a Tale of Two Loaves! This Peanut Butter Loaf is a great lunchbox filler, some nice cheap baking that's something a bit different from the norm! Full recipe written below.

Peanut Butter Loaf Recipe :
In a bowl, combine 2 cups of Self-Raising Flour and 1/4 teaspoon of salt
In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of peanut butter,
1/2 a cup of brown sugar (or for a different flavour try 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar),
1.5 cups of milk
Mix with wet ingredients in with the dry and mix until just combined.
Put in a lined bread tin and bake at 170oC for 40-45 minutes.
Leave to cool in the tin and turn out.
Soft and Fluffy Butter Loaf
How to make a super soft and fluffy Creamy Butter Loaf.
Here's what you'll need:
1 cup milk (250ml)
2 tbsps brown sugar (25g)
1 egg
2 tsp instant yeast (6g)
3 cups all purpose flour (375g) or bread flour
1 tsp salt (5g)
1/4 cup unsalted butter (55g)
FILLING:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (110g)
1/2 cup icing sugar (60g)
1/4 tsp salt (1g)
1 egg beaten
1 cup powdered milk (128g)
1 tablespoon cornstarch (7g)
1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
EGGWASH:
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
Some almond slivers for toppings
1. In a mixing bowl, mix together milk, egg, sugar and yeast.
2. Add flour and salt. Mix until the dough forms.
3. Add softened butter and mix until butter is fully absorbed.
4.Transfer to a lightly floured counter. Knead, slap and fold until smooth and elastic.
5. Smooth into a ball and coat with oil.
6. Cover for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
7. Make the filling. Mix together softened butter, icing sugar and salt until light and fluffy.
8. Gradually add 1 beaten egg, mixing every after addition.
9. Then add, powdered mik, cornstarch and vanilla extract.
10. Mix until well incorporated. Set aside.
11. Then deflate the proofed dough by punching the air out.
12. Divide into 3 equal portions. Approx 250 grams each.
13. Smooth each dough into a ball. Bench rest for 10 minutes with cover.
14. Roll out each dough ball into a rectangular shape.
15. Spread 1/3 portion of the prepared filling. Roll into a log.
16. Pinch and seal the edges. And do the rest to make three logs.
17. Braid and pinch the ends. Place in a grease 10x4x4 glass dish or any loaf pan you have.
18. Cover for 30-40 minutes. Brush with eggwash. Top with almond slivers.
19. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C/350°F for 30-35 minutes.
20. Serve and enjoy!
