How To make Apple Sage Dressing
2 ts Oil
1/2 c Onions, chopped
3 sl Bread
1/2 lb Apples, Granny Smith
2 tb Parsley, fresh
2 tb Currants
3/4 ts Sage
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Thyme
1/8 ts Black pepper
1/3 c Apple juice
Preheat oven to 350. Heat oil in small skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and saute 7 minutes, until tender. Toast and cube bread. Cube unpeeled apples. Chop fresh parsley. Toss remaining ingredients in large bowl; add onions and stir. Spoon into 1-1/2 qt casserole coated with cooking spray. Bake for 15 minutes. A Christmas party is never complete without roast turkey. We stuffed ours with aromatics and roasted it with herb butter spread under the skin, keeping it moist and full of flavour. Paired with the savoury yet sweet tasting stuffing made from Italian sausages, apples and sage.
Then with extra bits from the turkey, we made our own gravy, which is a good change from the usual packet ones!
Rather than eating out this Christmas, Why Not try roasting your own turkey for your family and friends!

This dressing is my all time favorite! it is so delicious, I cant tell you enough! the herbs, orange and cornbread/bread combination is super delicious, and very easy. ❤
1 lb.mild Italian sausage
1 3/4 tsp.dried Rosemary
3/4 tsp.dried thyme
2 1/3 tsp dried rubbed sage
1 medium garlic clove (minced)
1 C.Craisins dried Cranberries 50% less sugar (re-hydrate in boiling water 15 minutes then drain)
1 C.chopped celery
1 C. chopped onions
zest of 1 orange
1 apple (chopped)
1 3/4 C. chicken broth
4 C. french bread (cubed)
pepper (to your liking)
salt (to your liking)
5 Tbsp butter(melted)
2 1/2 C. cornbread (crumbled)
1/4 C.chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
