1 c Flour; unsifted
1/2 ts Salt
1/3 c Margarine
3 oz Cream cheese
1 1/2 c Apples; peeled and chopped
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 ts Cinnamon
ds Nutmeg Powdered sugar Measure flour and salt into a bowl. Cut in margarine and cream cheese with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Mix with hands until dough forms a ball. Chill 1 hour. On lightly floured board roll chilled dough to 12x16 inch rectangle. Cut into twelve 4 inch squares. Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon and nugmeg; mix well. Place 1 rounded teaspoonful of apple mixture in center of each square. Moisten 2 adjacent sides of each equare and fold to form triangles; seal edges with tines of fork. Cut 2 small slits in top of each turnover. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 400 about 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from baking sheets and cool on wire racks. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. -----

Biscuit Apple Pies/2 Ingredient Recipe (With Freezing Option)
In this video I show how to make mini hand pies using a 21 oz can of apple pie filling and 1 can of big biscuits 16.3 oz. I also demonstrate how to package and freeze the remaining biscuits to be enjoyed at a later time. On video I demonstrate how to bake these biscuit pies raw at room temp and how to bake them from frozen.

Apple Almond Turnovers and How To Avoid the Most Common Mistakes When Making Them
Apple Almond Turnovers (yield: 8 turnovers)
Rough Puff Pastry:
2 1/4 c (315g) AP flour
1 tsp salt
2/3 c (151g) water, cold
8 oz (227g) butter, cold and cubed
1. Add flour and salt to a bowl. Add the cubes of butter and mix until each cube is covered in flour.
2. Pour in the water and mix until a dough forms. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 min.
3. Roll the dough out into a rectangle, fold the dough in thirds, and rotate 90 degrees. Roll and fold the dough one more time. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 min.
4. Repeat rolling and folding two more times. Refrigerate for 30 more minutes before using.
Apple Filling
2 granny smith apples
2 honeycrisp apples
2 oz (57g) butter
1/3 c (71g) brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/3 c (76g) water
2 Tbsp (14g) cornstarch
1. Peel and cut apples into small cubes. Add to a pot with the melted butter and cook for 2 minutes.
2. Add the brown sugar and spices and cook for another minute or two.
3. Whisk together water and cornstarch and add to the apples. Cook until thickened.
Almond Filling
4 oz (113g) butter
1 c (113g) powdered sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp almond extract
1.25 c (120g) almond flour
1/4 c (35g) AP flour
1. Mix butter and powdered sugar together. Add the egg and almond extract and mix.
2. Mix in the almond flour and flour until smooth.
Egg Wash
1 egg
1 egg yolk
Simple Syrup
1/2 c (100g) sugar
1/2 c (113g) water
Assembly
1. Roll dough into a roughly 20in x 10in rectangle. Cut into 8 equal size squares and refrigerate the others while working with each one.
2. Roll each square a little more and arrange in a diamond. Egg wash the edges, pipe the almond filling, and fill with apples.
3. Fold the top corner down and seal the edges. Repeat with all turnovers.
4. Cut slits in the top of each turnover and egg wash.
5. Bake at 400F for 45 min or until golden brown.
6. Immediately after removing from the oven, brush with simple syrup and sprinkle coarse sugar.

1 box Puff Pastry Dough
1 can Pie filling of your choice
Egg wash (1 large egg + 1 tsp water)
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C) and prep a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out a sheet of thawed puff pastry dough and then cut it into 4 squares.
3. Next, scoop roughly 3 tablespoons of pie filling in the middle of each square.
4. Brush your egg wash onto 2 of the edges of the puff pastry (making an L shape) so that they can be folded over and sealed together, forming a triangle. Use a fork to press the edges together and puncture holes in the middles. Brush tops with egg wash.
5. Place prepared turnovers onto the parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Apple Turnovers from Homemade Puff Pastry | Easy Apple Pie Recipe
Today lets learn to make some super tasty Apple Turnovers from scratch with homemade puff pastry sheets.
►Ingredients
Butter - 2/3 cup ( 150 gms )
All-Purpose flour - 2 cups
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 2 tbsp + 1/4 cup
Cold Water - 8 tbsp
Apple - 2
Cinnamon - 2 tsp
Egg - for egg wash
► Method
1. Mix cold butter with flour, salt and sugar.
2. Add cold water and make it into a dough.
3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
4. Take some chopped apple cubes and mix it with sugar, cinnamon powder and cook till it becomes soft, you can add some cornflour slurry to make the liquid thick.
5. Roll out the dough cut it into squares and place the filling and close and seal th eedges.
6. Freeze it for 10 minutes and give an egg wash and bake at 204 degree celcius for 10 minutes and reduce to 190 degree celcius for 20 minutes.
7. You can make a sugar glaze with powdered sugar and heavy cream and drizzle it on top.
