2 c -- Water
1/2 ts Salt (opt'l.)
1 c Steel-cut oats
Bring water to a rolling boil. Add salt; then slowly stir in oats. Cover and let simmer for about 15 minutes or until tender. Serve with a pat of butter, milk or cream, and sweeten with honey, natural fruit or syrup. Recipe on back of 24 oz. bag of Arrowhead Mills brand steel-cut oats. Overnight Oats Basic Formula
Use this ratio as a guide to create your ultimate overnight oats. Make 3 for meal prep. They're good for up to 3 days.
Ingredients:
½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
½ cup nondairy milk
Optional add-ins:
1/3 cup chopped fruit
Dash of cinnamon
1 tablespoon maple syrup
