Super Easy Puff Pastry Cheese Twists
In this video I go through the steps of making some easy puff pastry cheese twists. These are a great hit at a party or in the kids lunch box.
Full Recipe:
These twists are pretty easy to quickly make and will take about 10 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes in the oven. You will need to make sure the pastry is defrosted before you go to start these.
Below are all the ingredients that I use in this recipe.
• 1 Sheet of puff pastry
• 1/3 Cup shredded cheese
• ¼ Cup parmesan
• 2 tsp. garlic
• 1 tsp oregano
• 1 large egg beaten
• ½ tsp salt
You can add lots of different ingredients to this recipe to create delicious flavour combinations. One of my personal favourites is adding some green pesto to the pastry before I add the cheese. This is just one example of the many variations you can try.
It’s important to make sure you have preheated the oven to the correct temperature before adding the puff pastry cheese twists into the oven. You may find if you add it into a cold oven that the pastry doesn’t puff up very much.
If you’re saving these for later then make sure you let them cool down before storing them. If you store them whilst they’re hot they will likely go soggy and will not be very nice to eat.

Fathead Dough:
200 grams (2 Cups) Shredded Mozzarella
100 grams (1 Cup) Almond Meal
1 Egg
1/2 Tablespoon (5 grams) Garlic Powder
Toppings

Instructions
Prepare all ingredients for crispy crackers.
Melt the mozzarella cheese in a pot until fully combined. Check the video for better understanding
Add almond meal or flour. Combine the almond flour with your spatula until the almonds are combined fully and properly into a soft dough. At this time you can add herbs, garlic in our case.
Once your cracker dough is blended, add an egg and keep incorporating it into the dough. It takes a while to mix it all, but the time is worth it. In the meantime heat up the oven on 200C or 390F
Once you have worked the dough, place it onto a piece of parchment paper or a silicone sheet and roll it with your baking roller until completely thin.
Once you are happy with the square shape, take a small bowl and add 1 egg to it. With your fork, mix it thoroughly, and with a baking brush, brush it all over the entire dough.
Now it's time to sprinkle the sesame seeds.
Make the shapes and sizes you wish with your pizza or pastry cutter.
Move the dough onto a baking sheet and bake in your oven for 8-10 minutes.
Notes
Almond flour - If you grain almonds yourself, I suggest using already peeled almonds. That way, you will get perfectly light dough to work with.
Cheese - As you see, I have used hard white cheese, but you can experiment with cheddar cheese or parmesan cheese for that extra sharpness.
Do you want to make everything bagel crackers? Add some garlic powder, onion flakes, hemp hearts, caraway seeds, poppy seeds, sea salt, and sesame seeds.

How to Make Parmesan Crisps - See how easy it is to make your own cheese crisps at home. Instead of crackers, chips, or pretzels, try these for a more satisfying high-protein, high-fat, and low-carb snack. Or try them on top of salads instead of croutons! Cheese crisps have only about 20-25 calories each.
Cheese crisps are one of the simplest low-carb snacks around. With the increasing popularity of low-carb diets, you might be seeing more and more varieties of cheese-based crispy snacks on grocery store shelves. Some of these are 100% cheese, but watch out – sometimes there are other ingredients too and they might not be appropriate for a very low carb diet.
It’s so easy to make your own cheese crisps at home and you can even customize them to your liking – check out the video and recipe above to see how it’s done! The method is so simple, you might even consider making just one “serving” at a time – this way you won’t get into trouble when you’re tempted to eat them all at once! They are THAT delicious.
Recipe for Parmesan Crisps
Ingredients:
¼ - ½ cup Shredded parmesan cheese*
Herbs/spices of choice (optional, amounts to taste) - try Italian seasoning, caraway seeds, cumin seeds, crushed red pepper flakes, or smoked paprika
*Tip: you can substitute other shredded cheeses, as long as they do not have a high moisture content. Options include aged cheddar, romano, gouda, swiss, or Manchego.
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix your seasonings into the cheese, if using. Measure 1 tablespoon cheese per crisp and place it on the parchment paper in a pile; flatten with your fingers to make the pile more even.
Bake for 3-6 minutes until flat, golden, and crisp. If not yet golden, turn the oven off and leave them in there for 2-3 more minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool for several minutes before removing; crisps will harden as they sit out.
Once completely cool, store in a sealed container.

Protein Crackers Recipe | Herbalife Nutrition
Today, nutrition expert, Susan Bowerman shows us how to make savory Protein Crackers using Herbalife Nutrition Personalized Protein Powder (PPP).
For Topping:
1 TBSP Poppy seeds
2 TBSP Sesame Seeds
1 TBSP caraway seeds
Salt (optional)
For Crackers:
1/2 cup white whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Herbalife Nutrition Personalized Protein Powder
2 TBSP finely grated Parmesan cheese or nutritional yeast
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
3/4 tsp ground black pepper
3 TBSP olive oil
1/2 cup water
• Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
• Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with oil or spray with pan spray.
• For topping: Stir poppy seeds, sesame seeds and caraway seeds and together in a small bowl and set aside.
• For crackers: place flours, PPP, parmesan, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, sugar and pepper in the food processor bowl. Pulse a few times to blend.
• Add oil and pulse a few more times.
• With machine running, slowly add water, until a soft dough forms a ball. If dough does not form a ball, add more water, a few teaspoons at a time, just until dough forms a ball.
• Turn onto a lightly floured board.
• Wrap dough in plastic wrap and let rest 15 minutes at room temperature.
• Working with 1/2 of the dough at a time, roll on a lightly floured board until very thin. Cut into squares with a knife, or round shapes with a cookie cutter, and transfer to prepared baking sheet.
• Brush crackers with water, then sprinkle with seed mixture, pressing gently to help seeds adhere. Then sprinkle with salt, if desired.
• Bake in preheated oven for about 12-13 minutes until nicely browned, turning baking tray halfway through. Let cool completely. Crackers will get more crisp as they cool.
