How To make Cheese Pretzels
1/2 c Unsalted butter, softened
2 1/2 c Shredded aged cheddar cheese
2 tb Dijon mustard
1 1/4 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Cayenne pepper
1 Egg white
** %%%%% CHEESE PRETZELS %%%%% ** Shape these nibblies into pretzels, or make sticks or rounds. You can make them up to three days ahead, then store in a cookie tin. Serve at toom temperature or reheat them in a 300 oven for 5 min. POPPY OR SESAME SEEDS In bowl, cream butter until fluffy; beat in cheese and mustard. Combie flour, salt and cayenne; add to bowl and stir just until mixture holds together, being careful not to overmix. Form into disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill for 30 minutes Divide into 1 tbsp balls; roll each ball into 10 inch strip. Twist ends over each strip to form pretzel; place on baking sheet. Brush with egg white; prinkle with poppy seeds. Bake in 375 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until pale golden color. Makes about 2 dozen.

Soft Pretzels With Cheddar Cheese Sauce
One of our all-time favorite snacks! This recipe for soft pretzels with cheese sauce is just like the pretzels you’ll find at the mall.
What You’ll Need to Make Soft Pretzels:
1¼ cup lukewarm water
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 envelope active dry yeast
3½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
5 cups water
⅓ cup baking soda
1 egg yolk beaten with 1 Tbsp. water
Coarse sea salt
What You’ll Need to Make the Cheese Sauce:
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
½ tsp. dry mustard powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp. salt
4 oz. (1 heaping cup) freshly grated cheddar cheese

✅Ingredients
PRETZELS:
• 1 ¼ cups water, lukewarm
• 1 tablespoon yeast
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• 3 ½ - 4 cups flour
DIPPING SOLUTION:
• ¼ cup baking soda
• 1 ½ cups hot water
TOPPING OPTIONS:
• Melted butter and Coarse Salt
• Cinnamon and Sugar
• Shredded cheddar cheese
✅Instructions
1️⃣ 00:00:13 - Dissolve the yeast and sugar into the warm water.
2️⃣ 00:00:33 - Add in the flour and mix until combined. No need to knead. Let the dough rise in a warm place until almost doubled which should only take about 20 minutes.
3️⃣ 00:01:21 - Divide the dough into golf ball sized lumps. Roll each ball into a snake or rope. Twist them into pretzel shapes (or whatever shape you'd like!).
4️⃣ 00:02:16 - In a small bowl or a liquid measuring cup, dissolve the baking soda in the hot water. Dip the pretzels into the solution and place on a well-greased cookie sheet or baking pan.
5️⃣ 00:02:44 - Bake for about 6 minutes at 500 degrees until they are golden brown.
6️⃣ 00:02:53 - Remove from the oven and dip the face of the pretzel in melted butter. Add your chosen toppings.
