Homemade Cereal Recipe and Some Gardening ASMR
In this video we do a little gardening, then I show you how I make homemade cereal. It's like granola and so easy to make.
Here's the recipe below. In case you'd like to print the recipe already formatted with a photo, I have it on my Etsy shop as a download (8.5x11 sheet) for $1.50. Since I don't do a blog and so you don't have to deal with blog pop up ads, I decided to put formatted recipes on Etsy.
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups old fashioned oats
½ cups each of almonds, pecans, and walnuts (or any combination of
nuts to equal 1.5 cups, chopped into small pieces)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 ½ tablespoons of ground flaxseed (optional)
½ teaspoon of salt
½ cup maple syrup
¼ cup canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven to 325 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients together (oats, cinnamon, flaxseed and salt), chop and add nuts to the bowl.
In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix maple syrup, oil and vanilla together well. Pour over dry ingredients. Mix until well combined and oil/maple syrup mixture has coated all of the oats.
Spread mixture thinly and evenly over the entire lined baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir. Bake another 5-8 minutes, but watch it closely because it can burn fast.
