Ingredients
● 2 pounds hash browns – 4 cups of dehydrated hash browns
equal 2 pounds
● 1/2 cup chopped onion
● 1 - 10.75oz can cream of chicken soup
● 1 pint sour cream
● 1/2stick of melted butter
● 2 cups grated American Cheese
● 1/2 teaspoon salt
● 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325°
2. Add hash browns to 9 X 13 greased baking dish.
3. Add melted butter and carefully fold into hash browns.
4. Add remaining ingredients one by one carefully folding to mix.
5. Place in 325° oven for 45 minutes.
Note: Be careful when mixing and be sure to add the melted butter first – it helps the hash browns to slide a bit and helps to prevent them from breaking. Optionally add crumbled buttery crackers to top it off the last 10 minutes for a little crunch. Refrigerates and reheats well. Makes about 12 servings.
Enjoy!

How to Make: Sour Cream Hash Brown Casserole
You will quickly discover that this isn’t your average dish, as it’s got not only cheddar cheese, but tangy sour cream (that goes so well with potatoes). The recipe also calls for something a little more unexpected…it’s a hard one to guess, so we’ll go ahead and tell you – it’s a can of condensed celery. We think that’s a pretty brilliant call, because it’s such a simple way to add tons of flavor and creaminess! Don’t you love it when that happens with an ingredient that’s so easy to get your hands on?
