How To make Double Chocolate Treasure Cake

sugar

flour

baking soda

baking powder

unsweetened chocolate, melted

cup
strong black coffee, lukewarm
3/4
cup
sour cream
1/4
cup
vegetable oil
1
teaspoon
vanilla
TOPPING:
6
oz
white chocolate
1/4
cup
butter - NOT margarine
1/4
cup
whipping cream
1
whipped cream
Directions:
Grease and flour (use cocoa) 9 inch springform. Mix all in order.
Bake 350F for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out of the center clean.
Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Push handle of a wooden spoon into the cake to make holes all over the top.
Melt white chocolate along with butter and whipping cream. Beat smooth and cool slightly. Pour into holes in cake and cool. Cover with whipped cream, drizzle chocolate over top.

Making my way through Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking cookbook... like the movie Julie & Julia. Today I make Reine de Saba, which is her chocolate almond cake recipe named after Queen Sheeba(?)

Recipe:
3 ounces semisweet chocolate,
plus1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
2 tablespoons dark rum or 2 tablespoons strong coffee
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 egg yolks
3 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/3 cup blanched almond (pulverized in blender or food processor with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar)
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup cake flour
Chocolate Treasure's | Diwali 2019 | Diwali Recipes
Chocolate Treasure Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup White compound chunks
1 cup Milk compound chunks / Dark chocolate chunks
2 tbsp almonds
2 tbsp cashew
1 tbsp raisins
Chocolate wrappers
Method:
1.In a pan , roast almonds and cashews till golden brown
2.In a saucepan , add water , Keep it to boil
3.After the water is boiled , Keep a bowl on the top of saucepan. In this bowl add 1 cup chocolate and let it Double boil
4.After the chocolate is melted , pour it in a bowl and let it cool down for 10-15 mins
5.Later, add the roasted nuts and mix well
6.Keep this mixture , let it cool down for 15-20 till the mixture becomes a bit stiff and lumpy
7.On a parchment paper, give the chocolates shape using spoons
Once the shape is given , let the chocolates dry at room temperature
8.wrap the chocolates with chocolate wrappers
9.Repeat the same process for milk chocolate or dark chocolate
10.Its ready to serve!
Tips:
1.Any kind of chocolates can be used ( white , dark, milk )
2.can shape chocolates using molds too
