APPLE CINNAMON DUTCH BABY PANCAKE | Easy DIY
APPLE CINNAMON DUTCH BABY PANCAKE!! So DELICIOUS!! Recipe below...
APPLE CINNAMON DUTCH BABY PANCAKE
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup fat-free or low-fat milk
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons butter, divided
1 large Honeycrisp or Gala apple, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 tablespoon sugar
1. Whisk together flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl; whisk together milk and eggs. Set aside.
3. Heat a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, about 5 minutes.
4. Toss apple slices and sugar in a small bowl. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in skillet. Apple apples, sauté until tender, about 5 minutes. Remove apples to a bowl. Wipe skillet until clean.
5. Mix together flour mixture with milk mixture. Add 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Whisk until well blended.
6. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in skillet. Add pancake batter. Arrange sauté apple evenly on top on batter.
7. Bake for 20 minutes, on the middle rack, until golden in color and puffy.
8. Transfer to serving plate. Serve with powdered sugar, syrup, whipped cream, etc., if desired.

Hello my Friends and Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers out there, welcome to my Southern Kitchen!
Today I am making my Dad an amazing Pancake Breakfast and also your Dad will love and enjoy also, Dutch Apple Pancake AKA Apple Dutch Baby! A baked pancake fill with any type sauce fruit, Strawberries, Blueberries, Peaches. etc; today I am using Apples!
Simple and easy to make and the best part, no griddle required we going to bake the whole pancake in the oven! Perfect for any special Breakfast or Brunch occasion fir the Holidays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Wedding Brunch and more! Everyone will love and enjoy this recipe!

Pancake Batter
4 extra large or jumbo eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup self rising or all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder (if using all purpose flour)
1 tablespoon white sugar
Pinch salt (if using all purpose flour)
1 cup evaporated milk, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and sliced
Sugar and Spice Mixture
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Pinch ground allspice
For the Pancake Batter: In a large bowl, add in the eggs, flour, (baking powder and salt, if using) and 1 tablespoon sugar; mix until well combined. Gradually add and mix in the evaporated milk, stirring constantly. Add and mix in the vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons melted butter and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg until well incorporated. Let the batter stand for 30 minutes or overnight.
Preheat Oven to 425 Degrees
For the Sugar and Spice Mixture: In a small bowl, add in 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, and allspice; mix until well blended.
In a 10 inch oven proof skillet or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, and in the 4 tablespoons butter and let it melt, then brushing the butter up on the sides of the pan. Sprinkle the sugar and spice mixture over the melted butter then line the pan with the apple slices then sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over the apples; cook until the mixture bubbles, then gently pour the pancake batter mixture over the apples. Bake in for 15 minutes then reduce the heat to 375 Degrees and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven a let it cool for a few minutes then slide the pancake onto serving platter and cut into desired wedges. Serve with whipped cream and/or maple syrup (if desired) and enjoy!
