How To make Five Flavor Pound Cake Glaze
-William Langford wphm66a 1 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Water
1 ts Coconut extract
1 ts Imitation butter flavor
1 ts Imitation rum flavor
1 ts Lemon extract
1 ts Vanilla
Combine sugar, water and flavorings in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour half of the mixture over the cake while still in the pan. Keep other half of glaze warm. When first half of glaze has been absorbed, dump cake over and out of pan and pour remaining glaze very slowly over cake.

Five Flavored Pound Cake
Looking for some desserts for the holidays, well here is one. This is actually great year round. Here is the recipe. Let me know if you have any questions
Five flavor pound cake
* 1 cups butter (softened)
* 1/2 c shortening
* 3 cups granulated sugar
* 5 large eggs
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 teaspoon lemon extract
* 1 teaspoon rum flavoring
* 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 cup milk
POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE:
* 1 cup powdered sugar
* 1/4 cup heavy cream (plus a few more tablespoons if needed)
* 1/2 teaspoon coconut flavoring
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
* 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring
* 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring
TO MAKE THE CAKE:
* Preheat the oven to 340 degrees. Grease a 10 bundt pan with shortening, then dust with flour.
* Cream together the softened butter, shortening and sugar using a hand mixer.
* Beat in the eggs until well blended.
* Add the baking powder, salt, and flavorings. Mix well.
* Add the flour and milk alternately, mixing and scraping the bowl between each addition.
* Pour the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 65-70 minutes. The exact time will depend on the size and shape of your bundt pan so watch it closely. Don't open the oven until you think it is done.
* Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan.
* Turn the cake onto a cake plate to cool completely.
TO MAKE THE GLAZE:
* Combine the sugar and extracts in a small bowl. Add ¼ cup heavy cream. Whisk together. Add more heavy cream 1 tablespoon at a time until you get the correct drizzling consistency.
* Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
* Store the cake in an airtight container.

Ingredients
Cake:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup (100 g) vegetable shortening
3 cups (600 g) sugar
5 eggs, beaten until lemon-colored
3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 tsp Coconut Extract
1 tsp Rum Extract
1 tsp Butter Extract
1 tsp Lemon Extract
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Glaze:
1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp Coconut Extract
1/2 tsp Rum Extract
1/2 tsp Butter Extract
1/2 tsp Lemon Extract
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
Directions
Cake: Cream together the butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Combine flour and baking powder; mix well and set aside. Combine milk and extracts. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Spoon mixture into a greased 10-inch/25-cm tube pan. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Cool in pan on wire rack for 10 minutes. Turn cake out of pan onto wire rack, invert again. Slowly spoon glaze onto top of hot cake and let glaze drizzle down sides of cake. Let cool completely.
Glaze: Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Makes 12 servings.
