Say Goodbye to Time-Consuming Dinner Rolls: Try Amish Friendship Bread Rolls
I love making homemade dinner rolls during the holidays, but they can be so much work. Multiple rises, etc. So this year I wanted to try my hand at an Amish Friendship Bread version, to see how they would turn out. Definitely much easier, but the texture is a little bit different. It doesn't have that stringy pull apart gluten factor we know and love from traditional rolls.
Written Recipe can be found at the 01:14 mark of the video ♥

1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar- I purposely didn't add
4 cups flour
1 egg - I purposely didn't add
Instructions
Add shortening, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together in a medium sized bowl and mix well.
Beat the egg in a small bowl and add it to the Amish Friendship Bread Starter.
Add the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix together.
Divide crust into 4 equal balls, and roll out into the shape your pie tin or pan requires, making sure that the crust is slightly bigger than your tin.
