How To make Holiday Eggnog Bread

eggs

cup
eggnog
1/2
cup
margarine, melted
2
teaspoon
rum extract
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
2 1/4
cup
flour
1
cup
sugar
2
teaspoon
baking powder
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1/4
teaspoon
nutmeg, ground
1/2
cup
pecans, chopped
1/2
cup
red and green candied cherries, chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar, eggnog, margarine, rum extract, and vanilla extract. Blend well. Stir in flour baking powder, salt, nutmeg, pecans, and red and green candied cherries. Mix just until blended.
Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes.

Yes you need egg yolks to make eggnog. In my opinion this is so easy to make that I think more people should be making their own eggnog instead of buying it. The Holidays can make everyone a little crazy, but it's easier to relax when you're sitting with a nice chilled glass of homemade eggnog.
